A Note From The Author:
Having trouble with
your lawnmower, snow thrower, chain saw, or other gasoline powered machine?
Then you've come to the right place. Whether you own a Craftsman riding lawnmower, a Murray push lawnmower,
or an Ariens snow blower, they all have one thing in common; the gasoline-powered small engine that drives them.

I was a Small Engine Repair Tech for years before I
fixed my last lawnmower and retired. It didn't take long before I started to miss working on lawnmowers, snow blowers, chainsaws, and the
like. I began thinking
about all the lawnmowers that the owners could
have fixed themselves if they only knew what I know: the snow throwers
that just lacked maintenance and the chainsaws that only needed saw-dust
cleaned from the filter. You see, it doesn't matter if it's a snow blower,
a chainsaw, a lawnmower; or a log splitter, the gasoline-powered small engine is
the heart of them all. I decided to put my years of repair knowledge into a book so you would never have to pay for
preventable lawn mower repairs again.
In 1996 Small Engine Tech Tips was born.
It's a do-it-yourself guide to servicing
the small engines that power lawn mowers, snow throwers, chainsaws, and other gasoline-powered machines.
Available in e-book format, the book deals primarily with
the small engine, because that's were most of the problems occur. Not only does Small Engine Tech Tips offer in-depth information on
how
lawn mower engines work, it also teaches you how to service and
maintain them, how to trouble-shoot common problems, and how to perform simple repairs on lawnmower, snow thrower, and chainsaw engines. As an
added bonus,
I share many of my personal tech tips to help you keep them running smoothly.
The popularity of
"Tech Tips" prompted me to write a second book and in 2002 I added Small Engine
Carburetor Tips to the list. Although still written in language that even a
novice will understand "Carb Tips" is a more technical manual that it deals
with carburetor troubleshooting and repair.
So, whether you have a broken
lawnmower, snowthrower, or chainsaw, or just want to
keep your machines in top working condition, Small Engine Tech Tips and
Small Engine Carburetor Tips can help you get
them running and keep them running smoothly for years.
Thank you for considering my books.
