These Are The Methods The Ferret Community Were Talking About (as Of
Last Mon, 18 Jan 2010) To Rapidly Improve Your Relationship With Your
Ferret
FROM MY READERS
Dear David,
I have found your ferret tips to be extremely helpful.
I made sure to do some research before getting my own ferrets and
your tips have been a definite lifesaver.
After reading your piece on introducing ferrets to their new house,
I made sure that the cat wouldn't come into my new ferret proofed
basement.
Remarkably our cat who's an old grouch, has readily accepted
Squirmmy (my ferret), and even though I never leave them alone
together they seem to enjoy each other's company.
You may feel free to post my comments on your website, it's the
least I can do for all your efforts on my and Squirmmy's behalf.
Yours truly Wim Kruger
Dear David,
Your ferret tips are great. I recieved my little Nugget for my
birthday from my son...
We have a paper bag that we keep all her toys in that also doubles
as a toy itself. I didn't know anything about caring for a ferret so I
went online and found your web site.
The tips you have sent have been wonderful and I look forward to
reading more.
It is great to know that there is someone who loves ferrets enough
to go the extra mile like you have. Thank you and keep the tips
coming.
Sincerely, Vera Lutz
Dear David,
I just recently bought a new ferret and they are great pets and
incredibly smart but they tend to be a little high maintenance.
But your tips are great and i think your doing a wonderful job.
ps. thats my baby.

David:
As the proud owner of two new ferrets, I have been enjoying your
tips very much...
I've attached pictures of our little cuties. Their names are Smokey
and Bandit. Thanks for the advice!
MELANIE AND STEVE
Hi David,
I have been enjoying your tips...
I too had to use the sour apple to stop the female from hurting the
male when she was bought first and I brought him into her territory.
I use many of the tips on toys, however, one you don't have is to
buy (at least found in Canada) plastic green eves trough drainage
forms. they are made out of the same material as a plastic bag,
slightly thicker.
They really love them and they can be folded up into a small package
after they are done playing. Mine love them, and I will send a picture
of them to you.
I also have trained my ferrets with a"clicker" to come when they are
called. If they are hiding in the house somewhere and I need them to
come to me, I click the little item, they come running and then they
get a treat. Of course that is how I trained them-with treats.
Mine are leash trained and love to be outdoors when the weather
permits.
I take them to PetSmart and attach their leash to the cart. They sit
there happily, watching the other shoppers as I myself look around.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. LAURIE
Dear David,

Hello David,
I have really enjoyed your tips. My ferret's name is Isabelle or
Izzy for short. She's only about a year old.
We had problems with her using the bathroom in the house, but I put
a litter-box down and she seems to be doing better. She is spoiled
rotten.
She gets out of her cage to play everyday for at least 3 hours.
Sometimes it's all day long. She ends up falling asleep somewhere and
I have to go find her...
Here's a picture of Izzy, she's so precious. Yes, I would love it if
you put my comments on your page, feel free.
And thank you so much for all your help... I (and Izzy) really
appreciate them.
THANKS AGAIN. MONICA

I'll try to get my computer setup for pictures and send you some. Of

Hi David,
The ferret tips are great!
There's a lot of stuff I did not know about ferrets.
By the time I get one, I'll be an expert!
ASHLEY
Hello David,
Thank you so much for the ferret tips; I've been truly enjoying
them.
I never had a ferret before and I actually went to a pet store in
June looking for a chinchilla.
I noticed a sweet ferret that no one wanted because one of his
eyelids didn't fully develop. And I just fell in love with this little
guy. I asked the people at the store to hold him for me until I buy
all the necessary accessories for Nemo.
Once I had everything set up for him, I brought him home.
I couldn't dream of a better ferret. He's very gentle and relaxed.
He actually slept through the vet visit and even when he was getting
his vaccination.
He would play with us for a minimum of 6 hours a day. He would of
course take a break, sleep for a little and come back to play more.
We decided to get him a friend. We found an 11 week old Casper. He's
a complete opposite of Nemo. Super crazy, full of energy, never stops
playing, hardly sleeps. Nemo had to show him who the boss was right
away.
We kept them at one cage right from the beginning, they were fine
but I think it's only because Nemo is so relaxed.
We're hoping that Nemo is happy that we got him a friend. He was
alone with us for over four months and he truly enjoyed playing with
us.
I'm sending you a picture of Nemo and I will send you a picture of
our little addition soon.
Thanks so much for all the tips, I always look forward to reading
more.

Dear David
I really appreciated the effort you put out in order to make the
little fuzzies and my life easier!
Being a first time ferret owner it was so helpful about the nipping
tips.
I was actually scared of my 16 week old gib when he jumped up at me
and tried to bite..
I found my 8 year old child screaming and standing on top of the
toilet to get out of Mr. energetics way.

I just wanted to let you know that I have been enjoying your
tips.Thank you very much.
I haven`t got my ferret yet, I will be picking her up this Friday so
I`ll send you a picture of the new baby then.
I have had several ferrets in the past but haven't had very good
luck with them.
This one I really want to absorb as much helpful information as
possible to keep her safe and healthy.
Thank you so much for all of the help!
CHRISTY
Dear Mr Rand,
I have found your tips very useful thank you.
My ferret is called Bandit, he is a polecat. My brothers ferret is
called Badger.
Do ferrets make friends with cats or dogs?
Here is a picture of me with the puffs!

David
I appreciate all the tips especially as I am new to ferrets.
Many thanks, keep them coming.

Hi David,
Me and my gf are enjoying the tips a lot and finding them helpful we
are both new to having ferrets but both have always wanted them.
We have 3 of them right now and the tips are great.
Thanks for everything.

Hi David,
I have found them very useful.
I would like to know how to entertain baby ferrets and make sure
they grow up into friendly little creatures.
I've sent a pic of my new little baby Tallulah along with this
message.

Hello David
Thank you so much for the great tips.
I am a first time ferret owner. I adopted Josie from the Humane
Society and she has been a handful. The people I work for are
volunteers at the Humane Society and have raised ferrets before.
They suggessted that I try one. I love animals, and Josie, (my new
wuzzle), is a great addition to my little family. It has been an
intresting adjustment after never having a ferret before.
The first two days she chased me around my apartment and I had no
idea that she wanted to play. I have a new story everyday about Josie
and my co-workers often tell me they wish they could be a fly on the
wall in my apartnment...
Thank you for your time
ASHLEY AND JOSIE
Hi David,
I haven't purchased any ferrets yet, but I have still been enjoying
reading your tips about them.
I have been doing a lot of shopping, in stores and online, trying to
make sure I get the perfect home for them before I bring them home.
I imagine I will buy two ferrets sometime after the holidays. It has
been hard not to impulse-buy everything I see, it's all so cute. And
I've cuddled with the sweetest little kits at the pet store. But it's
just not the right time. But soon!
I love reading your ferret tips.
Thanks so much!

Ferret Care Secrets - The Book
All the juicy tips that i've learned are in my book, FERRET CARE
SECRETS.
Ferret Care Secrets was created to give you and your family the
STEPS, TIPS AND TRICKS YOU NEED TO ENSURE THAT BOTH YOUR FERRET AND
YOU GET THE MOST FUN AND ENJOYMENT OUT OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP.
After many ferret lovers in the online ferret community started
reading FERRET CARE SECRETS they wrote to me and told me that I needed
to make it available to as many ferret owners as possible because the
content was so valuable.
WHAT ELSE IS OUT THERE ONLINE?
I looked at what else was being offered to ferret lovers looking for
information online and after reading through many other books I
realised that Ferret Care Secrets was the easiest and most
comprehensive way to learn the real tips, tricks and secrets which
make looking after a ferret much easier and particularly MUCH CHEAPER.
While looking through what ferret care products were available, I
also realised that it's a bit tough on ferret lovers who are looking
for real ferret care tips to find good information.
I had readers writing in to me telling me that they had bought
another ferret care product available online and were disappointed in
the information they had found and some had even had trouble getting a
refund for these other products.
Since I had received so many compliments and happy photos of owner
and wuzzle from my own readers, I was suprised that there was so much
mis-information out there in other products.
WANT TO KNOW WHAT OTHERS HAVE THOUGHT OF FERRET CARE SECRETS?
Hi David
I found your e-book very interesting. It gave me much more
information on ferrets then the local pet store which had said you
could leave them in the cage and never had to take them out. And never
mentioned ear washing or hair ball preventative medicine... Thank you
so much!
T. Ridley Alabama
Follow-up From _T. Ridley_ a few days later:
David, I think it would be good for people to know that I tried to
find out as much information as possible spent hours at the pet store
but in the end I had no clue what I was getting into. But now that we
are informed I think we can make it a positive experience thanks to
your book.
Thank you T. Ridley
WANT TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT FERRET CARE SECRETS? READ ON...
Imagine you really understood exactly why your ferret acts the way
he does (and knew how to easily fix any bad behavior any time you
wanted to!) - Imagine you knew how to quickly get your ferret to
listen to you, follow your instructions (AND go to the toilet where
you want him to).
I know you're going to ENJOY DISCOVERING AND USING THESE SECRETS TO
UNDERSTAND YOUR FERRET AND HIS BEHAVIOUR BECAUSE IF YOU KNOW THE RIGHT
WAY TO LOOK AFTER YOUR FERRET, IT'S EASY!
HOW I FOUND THE \"FERRET CARE SECRETS\"
If you can't tell from what you've just read I'm a little fanatical
about ferrets - when I was first introduced to them I was so taken
with the cute little things that I wanted to learn everything there
was to know about them so I started a huge ferret investigation
project.
I discovered that while there was some ferret information online it
was not organized at all (and some of it actually contradicted other
information I had found). I purchased loads of books (both online and
offline) about ferrets but found that the people writing them didn't
seem to be very passionate about ferrets and all the books covered the
same material over and over.
I WANTED TO KNOW THE TRICKS TO KEEPING FERRETS THAT MADE IT SUPER
EASY AND ENSURED THAT BOTH OWNER AND FERRET WOULD HAVE AN AMAZING
TIME. I WANTED TO KNOW THE 'SECRETS' THAT WERE PASSED DOWN BY WORD OF
MOUTH FROM FERRET KEEPER TO APPRENTICE.
I talked to zoos and ferret owners and eventually I learnt that some
of the top ferret specialists in the world lived in Sydney, Australia
and worked at Taronga Zoo.
The Ferret Specialists
I decided then and there to take A TRIP TO SYDNEY and talk to the
ferret team.
I spent one month in Sydney, determined to suck every last secret to
buying, adopting, handling and caring for ferrets that I could from
the team there. I wasn't disappointed!
They taught me tons of usable tricks and the real secrets I'd been
after since I started searching that I hadn't been able to find
anywhere else. I put them into practice the day I got home (as soon as
I picked up Caesar from my parents place, where he had been staying).
A few weeks later, after going through the huge bundle of notes that
I brought back with me from Australia I realized that I had the
makings for the first really complete guide to amazing ferret care.
FERRET CARE SECRETS is the result of my months of research,
experience and interviews with ferret care specialists (who do it for
a living every day at home AND at work). These are the secrets which
come from years and years of real, hands on experience - including
STEP-BY-STEP ANSWERS TO THOSE TRICKY FERRET QUESTIONS that you've been
looking up online or at your local library and just can't seem to find
the answer for!
