I began to play club football at the tender age of 6 and from the get go I
displayed a natural talent for football and 3 years later was known as the
best player in the entire league. I had won numerous amounts of golden boot
awards. Naturally, my shooting, passing and speed were the best aspects of
my game, however, my dribbling was a different story.

I went along up to the age of 16 as a non-creative
player; don't get me wrong, I still got by defenders, but it was rather
difficult to do so. Then fate began to weave its magic, and for the first
time I achieved clarity. It came along when I was watching a young
Brazilian guy playing for PSG in the French League.
He was tearing up the opposition and he made it look so
easy, not only that, every situation he was in, he had a solution for. Then
it hit me like a bolt of lightning, I realized the biggest problem that I
had was that I didn't have that creative flair that was driving this young
guy to play his best. This young guy was Ronaldinho.

Inspired by this I trained vigorously, studied his moves,
techniques and the more and more he would shell out for the fans, I was

match, I was sprinting down the sideline and then decided to pull the switch
on the player that was running after me. As the ball came back on the
inside, the defender lazily slid for the ball, studs up, hit my ankle and
got back up by stepping on my toes.
At first I felt I could keep going, however, once ice was
applied the severity of my injuries became rather clear to me. I would later
on find out that my ankle was broken and that one of my toes received a
fracture, indefinately preventing me from playing the very best football
I was capable of.
Crushed, shattered and bruised I lay down in the hospital
pondering about my life and where it was to go now. I suffered with the
injuries for 12 weeks and in that time watched a lot of football. It was
there that I decided that I would help others since I could no longer pursue
the dreams I had since I was a boy.
