"Now, a 1 cent move on Wheat represents a $50 profit, so using the System's conservative leveraging strategy, we decided to use our profits to sell another Wheat contract if it dropped by 50% more than the Maintenance Margin requirement, which at that time was only $500. That way we would be protected against a big upside move against us, which would wipe us out.
"When Wheat dropped to 492 on November 13, we sold another Wheat contract with part of our released margin.
"From then, on every time the price of Wheat dropped 15 cents, we leveraged our position, as you can see from the table below:

"On September 1, the price of Wheat got down to 338.50 and we had a paper profit of almost a million dollars. We decided that was way more than plenty (we was actually getting very nervous that the god of Hubris was going to smack us down if we got too greedy) and we sold all our contracts the next day at 339 for a total profit of $973,500.
