I also see: Poorly laid out game plans which result in time-consuming, fruitless and frustrating weekends wasted. (What a mouthful ) - and it's true!
And every one of my car buying clients has faced the same challenges frustrations as you before getting help (from a car broker), or getting educated - because they've never been shown a logical and practical approach for making car buying easy.
