"Finally… A Book That Answers Your Most Burning Questions About Becoming A Popular And Respected Public Speaker..."

"Some Of The Answers May Shock You!"

"But Hang Tight Because The Secrets You Are About To Discover Will Make You "The Star" Of Your Next Presentation - Guaranteed"

From the cue cards of Eric Feng

Dear Frustrated Public Speaker-To-Be,

My name is Eric Feng and I am one-half of The FAQ Guys. My partner Andrew Zhan is the other half. And here's a newspaper clipping to give you a better picture.

That's Andrew and me looking constipated (grins) on Singapore's Business Times

So you might be thinking, who are these FAQ guys anyway? Before I continue, I believe I need to give you some background on how the name came about.

You see, I was having coffee with Andrew at Starbucks one day and he dropped me this question

"If you get to spend one hour with world class speakers for a one-on-one, personal consultation for public speaking from each of them, what would you ask?"

Lots and lots of questions...

I thought about it and an idea popped up in my head. "What if we asked other people who are equally concerned about their public speaking journey?"

So we tried that and to our surprise, truckloads of questions after questions came pouring in from you guys. Apparently, even though with so many public speaking books out there, there are still lots of unanswered questions in your minds. Questions include...

How to make your speech interesting, impressionable and impactful?

Are there times when the audience does not react or respond the way you want them to? How do you salvage the situation when you fail on stage?

How do I kick fear and insecurity out of myself when giving a speech?

I’m often distracted by thoughts of not being good enough to be “up there” talking. I lack confidence on stage. What can you advise me to do?

What advice can you give to a novice speaker?

How do we discover our own style of speaking? One that we can claim as our own

How do you “Be Yourself” to the audience? We all heard that so many times but how EXACTLY do you do it.

What are all the ways to draw the audience into your speech, hence connecting with them?

Could a person with a poor command of English be able to speak well like other people do?

When I give a presentation, I will switch to "presentation mode". I become monotonous, lifeless...It's a subconscious habit now. It's so hard to change...How do I change…………
and much, much more!

Why Most People Fail In Public Speaking And What You Can Do Now To Avoid Ending Up Into That Pitfall

Andrew pointed out something about public speaking books out there which you might relate to. "I have friends who read tons of public speaking books but they never attain the success they wanted."

Well, that's because those books are useless! They only...

Make you more confused

Give you stuff that are so DUH! (Tips like "You must speak with confidence"... Roar... If I have confidence, I wouldn't be reading about public speaking...)

Make you browse through 137 pages before finding a paragraph that answers to your questions

After you've found that paragraph... Alas! It is not elaborated.

You don't need step 1 to 10 and you don't need to know the A to Z of public speaking. You just want someone to answer all your burning questions on public speaking. All the questions that truly matter.

"Let's give the audience what they really need," I said.

"Yes, and let's invite not just one, but [3 top notch speakers](#thespeakers) including yourself to answer the top most burning, nagging questions people have on public speaking" Andrew suggested.

"Because points are too conceptual. How about you hearing it from people who have asked similar questions, did a lot of trial and error and found some WORKABLE ANSWERS that have been tested on a REAL AUDIENCE? Now that’s something you don’t find in your bookstores"

And viola! We began to work secretly on our project. To find the answers that you need to public speaking so you could stop floundering in the sea of information.

So without any further ado...

"A Lot More Useful Content Than Most of the E-books I Read"

A thorough look at public speaking. This is an excellent guidebook which is solid and contains a lot of content. Eric and Kelvin address the questions facing both beginners and experts.  I particularly liked the 80/20 rule of memorization.

The FAQ Book on Public Speaking actually has useful content which is a lot more than can be said for most of the e-books I read.  You have great experience and it translates in being able to handle the content well.
