I wanted to draw steam engines that looked solid and real I wanted the drawings to hiss with the sound of hot steam I wanted to get the feel of raw coal fired power I wanted to show the speed of an express train

But, he did me a massive favor… he gave me the challenge I needed…
I knew I couldn’t be beaten by his ignorance I knew I could draw better pictures than the ones he destroyed.
We stayed friends and I learned how to draw and paint whatever I wanted…
