Hi, I'm April Boicourt.




I'm not usually one to blurt out my success story to the world... especially on the Internet.

But over the last year, I've come out of my shell because I want to shout it from the rooftops!

And I want to share with you what changed me so profoundly.

Not only was I completely transformed far quicker than I thought possible... it also changed my husband and my children for the better.

Which, to me, was every bit as rewarding.















What changed me so quickly?




Well, even though I live in what some would call the middle of nowhere Missouri, surrounded by Mennonite and Amish, I found out how the food system in this country, and others, is creating a health epidemic of massive proportions.

And I discovered a simple change I could make to protect myself... and my family.

I’d never known about the poisons big food companies sell us... and trusted the advertising I saw on TV was trying to help me make healthy decisions... but I now see through it all.







Let me quickly tell you how it all happened.




After the birth of my third child, I reached a crossroad. I had put on a lot of weight... I couldn’t wear the clothes I wanted to and felt tired all the time. I ate like a lot of America, with no clue the food was the problem. An Egg McMuffin and parfait for breakfast, more fast food for lunch. I thought it was “normal” to eat that way, Of course, I tried to bring the family together for dinners. I made supper from a box and a few fresh ingredients, just like a lot of modern moms.




BUT I KEPT GAINING WEIGHT.




I tried to diet to lose the weight I’d put on from 3 pregnancies. I counted calories, substituted for low fat and low sugar alternatives… but my progress was agonizingly slow.

And I was starving myself of nutrition, though I didn’t know it at the time.















Then, one day, I got fed up and told my husband I was going to do something desperate.

I was tired of feeling the way I felt… looking the way I looked. It was the right time and the right place to try something new.

All along, my intuition kept telling me the answer was to get closer to nature in the way I ate, and a Facebook page I found from the folks at Young and Raw helped confirm my suspicions.

To make a long story short, less than a year later,




I had lost 71 pounds!







But not only did I lose all the weight…


My skin looked five years younger and literally glowed...My nails went from frail to fast-growing and strong as... well, nails.I slept like a log... every night.I got into an exercise routine that worked for me, despite never being into working out my whole life...I got my kids... even my husband, who was supportive, but didn’t want to join me – eating healthier food and learning right along with me! So what did I learn that turned my entire life around so quickly and easily?




















It was getting away from the big food companies and eating more like nature intended.

You see, when you discover what’s really in processed food, and what it may be doing to you, the answer becomes clear. At least it did to me…

The truth is, food has changed more in the last half century than it had in the preceding 10,000 years. In industrialized nations, Big Phood companies, (I call them that because they make phony food…), rush to save you time and money by taking shortcuts that make it dirt cheap.
Like the hamburger helper and cream of whatever soup I made casseroles out of for my family. Packed with chemicals and additives I could barely pronounce.

In a rush for a profit windfall, they’re literally engineering foods to addict you… while at the same time keeping stock shareholders happy.
And they don’t want you to know what’s in it… because then you won’t eat it!

You see, to “keep up” with the demand for food in an industrialized world, modern farms have become “food factories.” Technology becomes the answer to every problem from genetically modified organisms (GMO’s), to feedlot cattle raised in their own doo doo. (I know that sounds gross… but it’s true, look it up.)

Even though GMO’s are banned all over in Europe and other parts of the world… our government says they’re OK. All to keep the big food companies happy.

The truth is, in America, most food is no longer farmed; it is controlled by a small group of multi-national “Big Phood” companies that command nearly the entire food system.

So it’s really not your fault if you’ve gained weight, you’re low on energy, your hormones are going wild or you just don’t feel as vital as you did years ago. That’s because Big Phood has some VERY powerful tools in their quest for ever bigger profits.

I banished processed foods from meals and snacks.

Do they contain:

Sodium Benzoate And Potassium Benzoate – These preservatives are sometimes added to soda to prevent mold from growing. But benzene is a known carcinogen that is also linked with serious thyroid damage.

BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole) – Hundreds of foods contain BHA, which is another potentially cancer-causing preservative, but it has been deemed safe by the FDA. Its job is to help prevent spoilage and food poisoning, but it’s a major endocrine disruptor and can seriously mess with your hormones.

Sodium Nitrates And Sodium Nitrites – These two different preservatives are found in processed meats like bacon, lunch meat, and hot dogs. They’re some of the worst offenders, and they’re believed to cause colon cancer and metabolic syndrome, which can lead to diabetes.

Blue, Green, Red, And Yellow Food Coloring – The artificial colors blue 1 and 2, green 3, red 3, and yellow 6 have been linked to adrenal, thyroid, kidney, bladder, and brain cancers.

Mono Sodium Glutamate (MSG) – Some say the jury is still out on how harmful MSG may be, but high levels of free glutamates have been shown to seriously screw with brain chemistry.

Or do you see Corn Syrup, which increases triglycerides, boosts fat-storing hormones, and drives people to overeat and gain weight?

How about Aspartame (NutraSweet, Equal), saccharin (Sweet'N Low, SugarTwin), and sucralose (Splenda)? Studies suggest that artificial sweeteners trick your brain into forgetting that sweetness means extra calories, making you more likely to keep eating sweet treats with reckless abandon.

And I’m sure you already know “white bread” and other white processed foods are stripped of all bran, fiber vitamins and minerals that send your blood sugar and insulin skyrocketing, which can lead to all sorts of problems.




The bottom-line is this, R.E.A.L. food is whole food.

The way nature designed it before humans decided to corrupt it in the name of “progress”.







How R.E.A.L. Food Changed Everything...







Sure, I lost the 71 pounds.

But I don't feel that was my biggest benefit from changing to R.E.A.L. food.

I already told you about my skin clearing up, my nails growing
faster and stronger... and of course after losing 71 pounds...
I could finally fit into cute clothes.

All great stuff, right?

Well, it was only the start... the surface stuff.

You see, unlike most people who lose a lot of weight... only to
gain it back... I know that won't happen to me.

Why?








Because finally, my body tells ME what it needs!

I know it sounds unbelievable, but after about three weeks eating a 100% R.E.A.L. food menu... it felt like a switch went off inside of me.

I no longer worry about counting calories, or eating "low sugar" or "low fat" because I always have enough R.E.A.L. food to be satisfied.

And I found it tastes fabulous!

It was amazing. All of the "food issues" in my life... suddenly disappeared like a thief in the night.

The scale had no power over me, I just focused on the good feelings I was getting from the food I ate.

My body was changing... but my mind is what changed the most.

It was like I was on a new path to change myself.







I used to buy the cheapest of everything. Food, household cleaners, cosmetics...
you name it.










But after learning about the chemicals that could hurt me and my family down the road, I started changing everything.

I even started recycling and thinking about the footprint our family left behind.

It all made sense... I wanted to be part of the solution, not the problem. I wanted my kids to grow up and see we left the world a better place for them. Doesn't every mother want the same?

But, as great as all of that was... losing the weight and getting chemicals out of our lives was not my crowning achievement.

Changing the way my family looked at food is my proudest accomplishment.

After learning a lot about R.E.A.L. food from Young and Raw... I had a chance to bond with my husband and children like never before.







How I Convinced My Husband And Kids To Get R.E.A.L Too...







When I told my husband I was changing what I ate, he was supportive, but there was no way he was going to join me.

That is, until he saw the changes in me over the first few weeks. That's when he started asking questions and getting interested.

I shared what I'd learned, slowly at first, but it wasn't long before he wanted to learn more. A lot more.

Now I won't say he's perfect. He still occasionally has fast food when he is in a rush at work... but he too started adding more R.E.A.L. food every day. In fact, he joins me for delicious morning juice and eats whatever I prepare for dinner.

And the kids?

Well, one day, I took them to the local supermarket and put them right in the middle of the store, where it's loaded with processed food. I'd grab a box off of the shelf and ask them what they thought should be the ingredients.

Of course they'd always guess wrong. I'd show them the ingredient list and the undecipherable chemicals and additives they had.

Soon, my kids were looking at ingredients!









Now, they know about GMO's... and talk about what's healthy and what's not. They even talk about it with other kids at school, and try to help them make better choices.

These days, our entire pantry has transformed. No more junk food. No super-fast processed food.

And the push-back from the kids was not near what I feared... in fact, I was shocked how quickly they had changed too.

Sure, it's more expensive to eat right. It's also a little less convenient... especially at first. But it was so worth it because of the way it made me feel.
