What’s up!  My name is Alykhan Gulamali.

I’ve been an introvert my whole life, a fitness nerd for the better part of a decade and a fitrovert for the last couple of years.

If you've read my About page, then you know what a fitrovert is.

“A fitrovert is a fitness-minded introvert. Someone who wants to be healthy and fit on their own terms. Instead of being a minion to mainstream fitness dogma, a fitrovert creates his or her own system that is internally focused to deliver personalized results.”

Have you ever started a health and fitness program all gung-ho only to burn out a few weeks later?

For introverts, burnout is the biggest barrier to a consistent health and fitness routine.

You want to know why?

Because traditional dieting and exercise is very stressful.  And introverts SUCK at things that drain the energy tank quickly.

Introverts might THINK they want to do all the latest health fads because we hear so much hype about them everywhere that we can’t help but be inspired.

How many times have you heard, “So and so lost 50 pounds on the no carb diet” or “Joe Schmo got ripped doing [latest fill in the blank boot camp workout]“.

The next day, you go carb-free and sign up for boot camp five days a week.

The thing is, just because a certain approach worked for someone else doesn’t mean it will work for you.  You might grind it out for a couple of weeks until your willpower reserves are shot.  And then, you’re pissed off, exhausted, back to square one and miserable until you hear about the next fad a few months later.

Then the cycle starts all over.  And all you wanted was a sustainable, stress-free approach to fitness.

It’s like having a 50 mile commute to work on a limited gas budget and trying to drive a Land Rover when what you really need is a Prius.

Well, I’m here to help you understand your gas budget and get you into that Prius.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

When I was younger, I could care less about my diet or whether my lifestyle habits were good or bad for me.

I used to eat fast food daily and stay up until 5am in college playing video games.

In 2009, after a couple years of working a sedentary office job, my weight was at an all-time high.

I wasn’t extremely overweight, but I decided I’d had enough after I saw the movie Never Back Down and Cam Gigandet’s ultra-ripped physique. That was when I dedicated myself to getting fit.

Within about a year, I had successfully transformed my physique by studying some of the best online fitness resources to achieve a lean, toned body and implementing the strategies I had learned.

But something was still missing.

I felt like I was torturing myself with diet foods I didn’t like. I was program hopping like a sucker and trying every workout under the sun. My willpower reserves were constantly exhausted by my regimen.

At the same time, I was unhappy with my social life. I felt like I was giving in and doing things I didn’t want to because I was afraid I’d let myself and others down if I wasn’t “putting myself out there” or being enough of a “people person”.

Then, I read a book called The Introvert Advantage, which changed my life.

It taught me to embrace my nature and use it to my advantage instead of viewing it as a crutch.

After I understood the optimal conditions required for introverts to thrive, I applied these to my fitness routine.

That’s when keeping fit turned into a relaxing and enjoyable lifestyle.

Using the techniques I outline in my book, I’ve maintained my ideal weight, continued to build strength and become happier and healthier over the last couple of years without the crash dieting and strenuous training I put myself through at the beginning.

I felt like a new person.

Like there was this superpower that I had access to, but had never tapped into.

When everything clicked, it was like Neo in the Matrix finally coming into his own as The One. You know, when he finally started fighting the agents, but made it look super easy?

After his transformation, he was too fast for them. Too powerful. For the longest time, these guys were his biggest roadblock and suddenly, they became an afterthought.

And he was able to go about his business effortlessly.

Look, I know you people aren't Neanderthals.

If you were looking for some bro-science, meathead guide to being the center of attention, you wouldn’t be here. You’re here because you want to get results in a smart and calculated way. You can execute this program quietely on your own. No social fitness cult required.

Yes, you’ll have to work for it.

But once you take an approach that’s ideal for introverts, you’ll be amazed at how natural it feels.

This book will serve as your guide.

How the Fitrovert approach will help you:

You will understand the NUMBERS behind weight loss and track them so that you leave nothing to chance.

Trying to “eat healthier” without actually tracking anything is like setting out on a road trip from New York to San Francisco and your entire game plan is to drive west.

Hey, don’t you need a map or GPS or something?

No? You’ll just figure it out? Okay, then. Let’s see how long it takes you.

Come on, people.

Extroverts jump right into things blindly because it’s fun for them. They need that rush of excitement or uncertainty.

That’s not how we operate, though.

We need a well-thought-out strategy.

You will diet in a way that feels completely in line with normal eating so you don’t end up hating your life.

Maybe you’ve tried to cut out an entire class of macronutrients like carbs or fat because you read something that said this is the way humans need to eat in order to thrive.

I say, try going zero carb or zero fat in your diet for a week and then come back to me and tell me how crappy you feel.

You’ll eat only foods you like and no foods you hate. I promise. I don’t eat anything I don’t like. Ever.

The Fitrovert approach to weight loss and nutrition shows you how to set your target, back in to exactly how much you need to eat and track it so that you know you’ll eventually get to San Fran and not end up in Alaska.

Your exercise plan will be “No pain, ALL gain”.

I’ll tell you straight up, when your diet is on point, your diet will take care of your weight loss or maintenance goal.

Exercise then becomes nothing more than an enjoyable way to be physically active and feel better.

What I’m saying is, there’s absolutely no reason to put any pressure on yourself to make your exercise routine the centerpiece of your weight loss plan.

Now, if you still want to build a great looking body, I’ll show you that too in my Fitrovert Strength Training Program (Chapter VI). But without all the grunting and steroids.

In fact, let me give you a rundown of the Fitrovert Strength Training Program as a thank you for reading this far.

I value your time and I want you to get something out of this page, whether you buy or not.  So I filmed a six-minute video outlining how I strength train during the week while working a busy schedule.

Alright, last but not least… there’s some bonus material.

My last chapter is called Mental Health for Introverts. And it’s only available for my Immersion readers. It costs an extra few bucks. But it’s well worth it.

This is not stuff that’s going to just help you with your physique.

It will help you in every area of your life.

I’m talking about putting yourself in the driver’s seat when you wake up in the morning and knowing exactly what you’re all about and why you’re doing what you’re doing.

It might seem straight forward, but you’d be amazed at how many people compromise their own values to meet the expectations of other people in their lives. Or even the expectations of society in general.

It’s time for introverts to stop living by other people’s rules.

This is something I struggled with for years, so I know it’s easier said than done. But in this chapter, I’ll show you the blueprint.

It won’t be easy. It will involve saying no and cutting stuff out of your life that may have been around for years.

But it’s only after you say no to many unimportant things that you will have the capacity to say yes to the most important things.

With that, let me show you exactly what you’re getting in each chapter of the book:

What are Action Steps and End of Chapter Resources?

Action Step sections are included to help you implement the strategies in the book so that you actually make progress.  Because reading is cool.  But results don’t grow on pages. End of Chapter Resources are references to relevant material found in each chapter that I have personally used to help me achieve my goals.  Remember those online resources that helped me transform my physique?  I’ll share them with you in these sections.
