I Want Your Strength and Physique to Improve Just Like Mine Did!
[]For three solid years, my strength and physique development remained stagnant. I wasn’t making improvements, and eventually I felt like I was just going through the motions in the gym. One day, I looked into the mirror and decided that enough was enough. I was determined to take matters into my own hands. I spent a year and a half creating, honing, and perfecting a training system that I’m incredibly proud of. I named the system 2 x 4: Maximum Strength. This program enabled me to finally achieve a 600 lb deadlift, which is over 2.5 times bodyweight. My strength is at an all-time high, my physique has made dramatic improvements, and my enthusiasm for training has been revitalized. My colleagues who tested out the program saw the same transformations, noticing rapid strength gains and improvements in body composition, aesthetics, and self-confidence. I would like for you to experience the same rewards from your training.

I’ve tried many different training systems, and 2 x 4 increased my strength far more than any program so far. As an already advanced raw 181 lb lifter with a 475 lb squat, 315 lb bench press, and 455 lb deadlift, I didn’t think that I had much room to gain. Boy was I wrong! On 2 x 4, I put 50 lbs on my squat, 50 lbs on my bench press, and a whopping 110 lbs on my deadlift in just 14-weeks. During this time, my body composition improved dramatically and I put on visible amounts of muscle while losing fat. 2 x 4 has my highest endorsement. It worked for me, and it will work for you. – Andrew Serrano
Every year, I watch the vast majority of lifters spin their wheels in the gym. For a while, I was one of these lifters. Why do so many lifters stagnate? While nutrition, sleep, and stress are contributors, I believe that Inferior training practices is the major culprit. I created 2 x 4 in order to help lifters achieve maximal results, which required me to carefully consider every single program variable and develop a highly effective strategy – one that stimulates your body to gain strength but also allows for sufficient recovery so you gain steady strength week in and week out.
Those of you who are familiar with me know that I take great pride in my work. I sought out to create a routine that was easy to follow, could be performed at a basic commercial or garage gym with minimal equipment, revolved around the big, basic movements, and would help keep you injury-free. I scrutinized each and every program variable, tested and revised the program for months on end, and ultimately tested the program by competing in a powerlifting contest.
I was able to set personal records in all three powerlifts (squat, bench press, deadlift) and in all of my favorite accessory lifts including the hip thrust, front squat, block pull, military press, floor press, back extension, leg press, bent over row, and more. After years of struggling, I’m finally back on track with my training, and I’m no longer unsatisfied with my reflection in the mirror. I would love for you to share the same feeling.
[]Having worked personally with Bret Contreras over the past few years, I can attest to his passion and zest for maximum strength training. He is one of the few coaches who I always make sure to consult with regards to my own programming. 2 x 4 is the conglomeration of years of lifting experience, years of personal training experience, incredible biomechanical knowledge, intense research, and the careful blend of the art and science of strength training program design. – Charles Staley
With 2 x 4, you will keep track of your strength and become intimately familiar with your indicators of progress. The system will stimulate adaptation while keeping you fresh so that you can consistently set personal records day in and day out, and 14-weeks from now, you will be noticeably stronger and leaner.
2 x 4 is not simply a training program; it’s an entire resource. In order to ensure that you’ll be receiving the best program possible, in the past year and a half, I have:
Joined the strongest gym in Arizona to mingle and talk shop with powerlifters, strongmen, and weightlifters Read hundreds of journal articles on maximum strength training Conducted an extensive analysis of anecdotal knowledge of maximal strength training by reading and watching hundreds of articles and videos of leading experts in the fields of powerlifting, strongman, weightlifting, and general strength training Analyzed hours upon hours of video footage of elite strongmen, powerlifters, and weightlifters Analyzed every popular maximal strength training program to note similarities and differences in program design variables Conducted numerous experiments using EMG, force plate, and video capture Piloted the program with experienced lifters and powerlifters Revamped and modified the 2 x 4 program for 18 straight months until I was finally satisfied
