I have a long-time friend in Phoenex, Arizona. His name is John W.
I know...but that really IS his name. Not long ago, John asked me out
for a drink. It was clear he wanted to talk. As we settled into the
local bar, I commented that he looked tired. His shoulders sagged as
he nodded his head in agreement.
A couple of months earlier, his company had informed everyone in his
department that all full-time, salaried jobs were being eliminated.
Most of the employees were offered a chance to accept an hourly
position doing the same work, but they would be limited to 28
hours/week. Some co-workers had visited a lawyer, but since Arizona is
a right-to-work state, they were told they had no case. John didn't
have the money to move. Besides, he didn't know where he could get
better terms. But...
The new "job" would mean a substantial reduction in salary
He hadn't yet figured out how they could pay the mortgage, much
less their bills
The 28-hour limitation reduced him to a part-time employee, no
longer eligible for health care
He had just recently used glue to repair his son's tennis shoes
because they couldn't afford a new pair
He was tossing and turning at night, not getting hardly any sleep
He was getting more irritable by the day
His beautiful wife was discouaged and disappointed - she was
thinking about leaving him and taking the kids with her to live with
her parents.
"Robert, you don't have a job, but you seem to be doing pretty well.
WHAT THE @*$$ ARE YOU DOING?" The anguish in his question was
palpable. I told him I was building some online businesses; that I
wasn't rich, but I was doing okay.
"That's okay for you. You used to be a University Business
professor. But I can't do that!"
I HAD to ask why.
"To make money on the internet, you have to have your own products
to sell. But I can't write. Besides, I'm a nobody - nobody would want
to read what I tried to write. Heck, even my wife doesn't even want to
TALK to me an more."
"Not true... Not required... Not necessarily... but _You_ have to
deal with your wife."
A plan was beginning to form in my mind. Can you see why I couldn't
ignore him? John's problems were fairly extreme, but do you know
someone, maybe several someones, in similar circumstances because of
this economy?
The so-called gurus and their emphasis on their rich lifestyle had
convinced John - not convinced him to spend lots of money for these
guru plans, but they had convinced him it was something he couldn't
do.
"John!
If I can help you come up with a plan to make a living on the
internet,
maybe not hog-nasty stinking rich, but enough to pay the bills...
would you be willing to work with me and give it a serious try?"

HOW TO USE AFFILIATE MARKETING TO LAUNCH YOUR NEW ONLINE CAREER
I knew John well eough to know that I would have to put things in
writing for him if I didn't want to be constantly on the phone with
him, or over at his house. He had no real computer experience, so my
plan would have to be detailed. I also knew he was very involved with
his son's activites, so any system I came up with would have to leave
him lots of time to spend with his son, or he wouldn't stay with the
system in the long run.
After my initial walkthru with John, my university prof set out to
clean up the rough edges.
I could tell you lots of good things about my system.
I could tell you that it is a SIMPLE system, not necessarily easy,
but simple
with ONLY FOUR MAJOR STEPS.
I could tell you that each of the major steps is SHOWN IN COPIOUS
DETAIL WITH LOTS OF PICTURES.
I could tell you that after the initial set up, the system RUNS ON
AUTO-PILOT,
without any attention from you.
I could even tell you that it has a significant RESOURCES SECTION,
all resources that I am familiar with and/or use myself.

To be honest, I tried to give John a system that would help with
his REAL problems, not his symptoms. So, this is what the system did

reaction will feel? (The diamond necklace from Bangkok, Thailand, went

really _well_.)
INDESTRUCTIBLE KNOWLEDGE. What will it be like to know you can
establish a new business, anywhere in the world at any time? _Have
computer connection, will do business. (They can't confiscate my
mind.)_
Since I started working on this project, I have met lots of people
who want to start some kind of online marketing business. BUT THEY ARE
AFRAID.
They don't know WHAT TO DO.
They don't know WHO TO TRUST - but, for many, its _not_ the gurus
with boats and planes and fancy cars promising they can be rich by the
end of next month.
They don't know, or don't understand, what an AFFILIATE MARKETING
system is.
Most believe that they have to write, and that their writing skills
won't pa_ss muster. Clearly, they don't know about a system __ MOST
GURUS USE TO MINIMIZE THEIR OWN WRITING__. (John loved _that part of
my system.
SO HOW MUCH ALREADY?
I thought long and hard about what to charge for this system. Not
only the detailed steps, but also some practical advice. My first
thought, based on time I spent putting this together - and the price
of some other systems online - was to charge $47.
But that just didn't feel right to me. I may look at doing an
expanded, multi-media version sometime soon. That would be worth more
than $47. But this is just a book, with pictures. As a University
professor, I used to get sick at how much my students had to pay for
books. So, I thought maybe $27 was fair.
"BUT I COULDN'T HAVE PAID $27!"
John hit me right between the eyes with that comment!
Most of the work had been done initially for a friend. Besides, the
people who most needed this information might not even be able to
afford $27. So I finally decided on $10.

someone who loves doing video training. One of the things newbies
really need, that I didn't have room to include in the book, is
detailed training on the leading blog software, WordPress.
