In 1958, at the age 39, a young mother of five and a housewife was sent home to die. She had been ill for sometime and no one could cure her. Her body and soul were riddled with “disease” and she knew that without divine intervention she would be dead in weeks. Confounded by her dire condition she took stock of her family. Her husband of twenty odd years was an orphan whose parents left at aged 8 years to take care of his two younger sisters. He survived and made good by them. She had five young children aged between five and nineteen. She needed to see them into adulthood and help them survive. With these responsibilities she decided to “figure out” how to cure herself and live.
She wanted to help her husband bring up their children and not abandon them and burden him with five young children. She wanted to see her children grow up marry and have children of their own and make her a grandmother. She wanted to live and not die.
A short time later she was taken to a healing centre where she met a woman who told her that she could be healed but it was all up to her.
She did not know how but having run out of options she decided to stay. She started bargaining with The Divine for her life. She promised to raise her children well and to love and care for her wonderful husband He had given her. She even promised to serve Him in any capacity she could if only He would let her live and not die.
Out of the depths of her hurting soul and aching body she developed a profound sense of gratitude for all that The Divine has done for her. She started each day with praise and singing. Songs came to her easily and she sang them to praise The Divine as her part of the bargain. Days and weeks went by without change but she was still alive so there was hope. Miraculously she began to gain strength and started taking some food.
Within six months of being in the healing centre she was completely healed. Upon leaving the centre, she remembered her promise to serve The Divine in any capacity she could. It was time to keep her promise.
She was told to take the same healing miracle powered by her profound gratitude and daily praise to her generation and help others heal from mysterious soul wounds, hurts and scars that medical hospitals could not help them with. Within a year she founded a healing centre of her own helping others heal from their soul wounds and scars.
People came who were dying and got healed and went home. Others came with mystery illnesses and got healed. All she knew to offer them was daily praise and profound gratitude to the Divine and avoidance of all negative sad thoughts about their lives. She encouraged them to forgive everyone who hurt them and to bless and pray for such people instead of bearing grudges or hatred against them. Today that healing centre still stands as a testament to her healing and obedience to serve helping others.
You see my friend,
That woman was my mother, Huldah. I was only a child then but her illness and mysterious healing made a profound impression on my young mind. Later I left home to train as a medical doctor and went back to help her run the healing centre. I stayed there for thirteen years and helped to refine the process of healing through gratitude and praise. My mother lived for another 42 years before she went home in 2000 aged 83 years. The healing centre, Holy Chapel, still stands today helping others heal from mystery ailments and diseases.
My sick mother discovered something very simple but profound and transformative. She rid herself of her terminally diseased body, soul wounds and emotional pain and entered a state of profound peace, health, wholeness and joy for the rest of her life. Gratitude and praise never left her throughout her life. She used the same method to help others until she went home in 2000.
What my mother discovered has been passed on to me, and now I would love to give it to you. I’m going to give it to you in these pages.

Gratitude and praise changed and transformed my mother’s life so she was there for me and by siblings. Without her who knows what would have happened to us as we were growing up.
Since then I have further refined the process. I have gained a doctorate through research studies. I have added by own observation and varied experience as a medical officer for over two decades. Lately I have used the same profound gratitude and daily praise to help a group of people we studied in our ministry and they too got healed from their soul wounds and scars, found closure to their ugly painful past and moved on with their lives, healed, whole and happy.
They came with soul wounds and scars. Some were divorced and in pain, others were abused and hurting. Some were rejected and neglected. One of them was heavily in debt with no way of repaying her debt.
Some of their pain and injury may have been self-inflicted through self-neglect and dependence. They admitted to being highly sensitive to threats of rejection and abandonment. Some were emotionally fragile to other people’s opinions, words and actions. Therefore they may have exposed themselves to abuse and were unwittingly taken advantage of.
They were all distressed, disconnected and heavily burdened by their ordeal and pain. But they came and agreed to take part in our studies.
Needless to say they all healed from their soul wounds and scars using the same gratitude and praise as a way to refocus their attention from the negative in their lives to their expected positive more fulfilling lives. They refocused from their pain of neglect and abandonment to the pleasure of healing and having closure from their ugly past. For once in their lives, they had hope for the future and opportunity to heal and move on with their lives. They wanted to make something of their lives and succeeded.
They learned to confront their fears and overcome them. They revisited and re-examined their beliefs and ditched those that were not supporting and serving them well. Over time they gained confidence and the courage to dare. Their self-esteem skyrocketed and they became more. In the end they also became self-reliant and grew independent of their abusers.
