We would normally think of ourselves as being a solid tangible physical being,and nothing more.
Without being trained in Esoteric, Gnostic, or Occultist knowledge, it is difficult for us to imagine anything other than: âWe could have more subtle, vital, intangible parts of a separate nature which constitute the whole of the individualâ.
However, it is now becoming a far more widely accepted fact that:
We ARE made up of intangible parts, and it is becoming generally accepted that these parts constitute the whole of the individual.
Many esoteric traditions, both western and eastern, have studied and classified these âbodiesâ giving to each a precise and integrated function and correspondence with the physical body.
These intangible parts jointly constitute the whole of the individual and correspond to what we call âsubtle bodiesâ or, more generically, The âAuraâ.
Astral travel, also known as conscious projection or out-of-body experiences (O.B.E.’s) Is impossible according to Cynics, who say:
âIt can’t be doneâ.However the fact is it’s as natural as being human, and as old as humanity. Leaving the body is as natural as sleeping or breathing. It has been part of human life and also the life’s of less evolved life forms, since ancient times. Many people that have left their body’s have reported seeing projected animals, like dogs and cats running around outside their bodies. If a lower being like an animal is capable of this, don’t you think it’s possible that a higher being:

Astral Projection has been known to mankind and practiced since ancient times.
Ancient Egyptian priests knew of the existence of the astral body which they called âKhaâ.
They left inscriptions on the rock walls of many temples and buildings, which date back to between 3,000 to 5,000 years ago by representing âKhaâ as something subtle and light which leaves the physical body. Initiates were trained to leave the physical body and present themselves, partially or totally materialized in front of the priests.
In Ancient Greece there were references made, in the Temple of Eleusis. Which can be found in the writings of Plato. There are also reports in the works of the historian Plutarch of Queroneia.
Plutarch tells us of the story of Arisdeu, which took place in the 79th year of the first century.
Arisdeu suffered from an accident; falling and hitting his head against a rock resulting in a state of coma. Whilst in this state he found himself outside his body with his spirit guide who showed him another dimension, which was inhabited by a different form of consciousnesses which he stayed to examine.
At a certain moment, he saw and felt a force pulling him back inside his body, on the physical plane. He woke up just as he was about to be buried, today this would be commonly accepted as a near-death-experience.
There are numerous references made in the Bible to conscious astral projections including:
Apocalypse of Juan, 1:10; 1:11; and 4:2;
Corinthians, 12:2;
Ecclesiastes 12:6;
Ezekiel, III:14;
as well as in Epistles of Pablo of Tarsus
Due to the great repression caused by the inquisition of the middle ages conscious astral projection was only studied within secret societies, and esoteric schools. At the end of the Inquisition the esoteric, occult movements and secret societies decided to keep it as just that:

Perpetuating lies, myths, and disinformation about the dangers of astral projections, with the sole intention of keeping the status quo. Thereby maintaining the hierarchy, and power structure they had gained using their Knowledge.
Conscious Astral Projection regained public acceptance due to the work of the late Robert Monroe (1915-1995) who became known for his research into altered states of consciousness, and who is credited for popularizing the term âout-of-body experienceâ.
