Okay, let me take a moment to tell my story...
My name is Jennifer Davis and I'm NOT a doctor or a dietitian.
Obesity runs in my family. As far as I can remember, my parents were
always fat. My brother and I looked quite okay when we were teenagers.
There were always some excessive pounds but my parents taught me to
accept my body 'cause it's all about my genes. Stop worrying, you
can't influence it, they used to say.
I started my first diet when I was 22 and decided to give up smoking.
I gained around 15 pounds and there was no way to reach my previous
weight. My boyfriend seemed not to care but finally he called me "a
chubby chick" and dumped me.
That was the moment when I made a radical move and started the most
popular crash diet at that time, the Cabbage Soup Diet. I lost around
10 pounds in a week sticking to it!! I could eat as much as I wanted
but only cabbage soup... Next two weeks were not that successful, 3
pounds and I could no longer look at this horrible soup! Finally my
scale stopped, besides I felt weaker and weaker.
I gained all my weight back within a couple of weeks. I couldn't look
at myself in the mirror, I was so disappointed! You know, sometimes
you try to do your best but it simply doesn't work. My weight struggle
has begun for good.
When you are young you're not much concerned about your health. At
least I wasn't. Losing weight at all cost has become my obsession. I
tried all crash diets you can imagine - Grapefruit Diet, 3 Day Diet, 7
Day Diet, Scarsdale Diet, The Liquid Diet Plan, Chicken Soup Diet,
Fat-Free Diet, No Carbs Diet, you name it. My weight was a
rollercoaster, I could shed 20 pounds but I always gained them back in
a few weeks.
After giving birth to my first child, my weight reached 170 pounds.
What a whopper, you may think. Although I was only 25, I didn't feel
attractive at all. You should know that I'm not a big fan of a gym,
home exercises, running and all that stuff. I like watching sports but
simply hate any physical exercises.

to be a breakthrough. The worst is that the latest programs
contradicted previous ones. It occurred to me that weight loss
industry is full of misinformation and I had to do my own research to
