ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Wijono Hadikusumo is a graduate in applied physics from the Institute
of Technology Bandung, the best and oldest technical university in
Indonesia. He started his career as hospital engineer at the
University Hospital of Airlangga University, at the same time he was
giving lectures on solid state electronics at the Institute of
Technology Surabaya. He then switched into industry by joining
worldwide company Siemens Medical Engineering Group (then renamed
Siemens Medical Solutions, and now Siemens Healthcare), a German based
manufacturer of broad spectrum of medical electronic equipment,
starting in Indonesia as senior service engineer, then promoted to
technical manager, engineering manager, then general manager before
moving to regional office based in Singapore, in charge of marketing
support for the Asia-Pacific region until his retirement on the year
2008.
