So, let me tell you the brief story about how we came to discover (sort of), refine (definitely), and champion (absolutely!) Realtime Marketing.
As you may know, my name is Tom Deeter. Like you, I have a passion for Internet marketing... not because I love the Internet or even marketing but because of the CONTROL this type of business allows me to have over my time.
Internet marketing is truly one of the last types of businesses that allow a man or woman to run an unusually profitable business from anywhere WITHOUT EMPLOYEES or HASSLES!
How Did You REALLY Learn This Stuff?
So, back in 2006 I started learning... buying courses, asking questions, testing techniques. I built websites, experimented with PPC, and created landing pages for all kinds of crazy stuff. In the process, I spent a small fortune on email marketing services, web hosting, AdWords clicks, a shopping cart system, credit card processing and, of course, training.
By 2007 I had A LOT of experience and knowledge but only meager profits.
Obviously, something was missing. I decided I needed a mentor... So, I left my wonderfully stifling and stressful cubicle job.
And... through a bit of networking and persistence, landed a job with Jack Humphrey who was helping thousands of people in what was then the very HOT blog marketing niche.
Looking back, this turned out to be a priceless position which helped me transform all the marketing philosophy and strategy (picked up while studying dozens of expensive IM courses) into concrete, profit-producing wisdom.

Client after client, I learned how to turn a blank or traffic deprived website into a socially integrated, customer fetching sales funnel.
After a year under these great guys I decided to flex my new-found marketing muscle and join a local SEO company (here in my hometown of Indianapolis) as they developed a blogging division.
In a matter of 4 months we managed to push the revenue from business blogging clients past the SEO business and 6 months later, the SEO business was sold off and all attention was given to producing content and promoting client's blogs.
Due to the success I was having in the biz blogging business, overconfidence kicked in and I began to make some BIG promises to clients... essentially, "Even MORE Traffic & MORE Conversion".
Problem was... we had taken on WAY TOO MANY clients and suddenly, there was no time to train new employees or even find outsourcees for the seemingly endless number of tasks required to produce the traffic & conversions EACH client was expecting THAT MONTH!

I agonized over the situation for days... Pushing out content and ticking tasks off my long list by day... researching marketing strategies and testing techniques by night.
Finally, I stumbled upon a surprisingly simple technique that consistently created super-targeted traffic. It wasn't exactly what the course I was studying at the time was teaching but the traffic this "customized" technique produced was staying on the client's site longer and interacting more than traffic produced through the dozens of other social marketing methods I was testing.

Searching for prospects using my initial methods was time-consuming and the messages I sent these prospects weren't very, well, "enlightened"... but they still worked, and I was HAPPY!

A few weeks of testing and tweaking ensued... I turned into a realtime marketing freak.
I discoved all kinds of tactics to find or SELECT prospects and respond or CONNECT with them at the perfect moment.
I also came to understand, on a deep psychological level, what it takes to CONNECT with people in a way that gets clicks and conversions. These messages must be crafted in way that is VERY DIFFERENT than a blog post or a PPC ad... the mindset of a person interacting in realtime is radically different than it is when that same person is searching for stuff on a search engine or inside a blog post.
