Stop letting what happened to you ruin your life…
Take Charge And Move On
How to get your life back
when someone you love has been molesting children.
Wednesday Morning
From Dr Pat
Few people can understand the pain, grief and self doubt women experience when they discover their husband, father, or partner has been accused of molesting children.
It’s easy for friends, relatives — even people you don’t know —
to tell you what you could do and should do.
Usually with little if any understanding
of what’s really happening for you,
your children and your lives.
It’s very difficult to find anyone
who can really help and not hurt.
Now you have found someone.
Let me introduce myself.
As a young woman, I thought my life couldn’t get better. I was married, had a great son, my own career was doing well, we had a huge collection of wonderful friends and relatives. It all looked like the perfect life.
Until I got a call early one morning from my child psychologist husband. He was calling from jail after being arrested for child molestation.
You may not have gotten a call from jail, but you know how getting the news feels. In a moment, your life changes. You’re sure it will never to be the same.
For months, I stood by my husband. I just knew the accusations were false. I assured him we would get past this. Certainly the real truth would out. Our lives could go back to some version of what it had been.
Then, a former neighbor and good friend told me my husband had molested her child. And, once again, I knew my life would never be the same.
Your story may be different than mine in the details. Most women who have had experiences like ours report at first they just couldn’t believe what they heard. Then, as the stories unfolded and more information was revealed, there was no question.
They really were married to a child molester.
If this is you, unfortunately, you have lots of company. Hundreds of thousands of women go through the same pain every year.
Most of us suffer too long, trying to find help: legal, financial, and emotional.
Many are shunned by friends, blamed by law enforcement, misunderstood by “helping professionals,†and abandoned by friends and families. Tarred by the brush of their husbands’ misdeeds.
And end up struggling to put their lives back in-order.
All by themselves.
All by yourself.
Friends and family, even strangers, claim you must have known, and excused or denied his behavior. They just can’t imagine how someone could have been so deceptive.
Most therapists and social workers haven’t had the training or experience to understand what you’ve been going through or how to help you move on with your life.
The legal system, from law enforcement and attorneys to the court officers and judges, hold you responsible for knowing about and not stopping your husband’s abuse.
Religious advisers typically exhort you to read scriptures, pray and ask for forgiveness. Then they pressure you to keep your family together at all costs.
The bottom line: most “helpers†blame and shame because they don’t know what else to do. They can be so horrified that their professional skills and tools are eclipsed by their discomfort and lack of confidence because they don’t know how to help.
Truth be told, many women never recover from the trauma of their husbands’ misdeeds. Especially when the assault continues from professionals who hurt rather than help.
How do I know?
I went through the same pressures and pain you’ve been experiencing.
Until that day when I had a major wake up call. I’m not sure where I got the courage that day to step back, take a good look at myself, remind myself that my Ph.D. was in psychology and that I’d literally helped hundreds of people change their lives, take a new path and let go of the pain and trauma they’d been through.
It finally dawned on me that I could do the same thing for myself.
It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t always fun. And it almost always had challenges that I had to overcome.
Slowly but surely, from the research I’d been doing and from the new tools and techniques for changing my behavior I’d been developing, I started to smile again — and then laugh.
I stopped being so angry and started distancing myself from what he had done. I no longer accepted the responsibility for his deplorable behavior.
Most important, I stopped blaming myself and started taking charge of my life. I decided where I wanted to go and who I wanted to be. Then I worked to make my new vision of myself a reality.
Eventually I wrote a book about my experiences, thinking this was the end of the line.
I’d done my part in helping other women.
I picked up my career, started working again, eager to let go and get past what had happened to me.
But I still got the emails and the calls.
“Are you the woman who wrote the book…?â€
And, as soon as I said yes, another story would come out.
For years, all I could offer was “read my book.”
It has not been enough.
There are still too many women who are in major pain and suffering as they discover that yesterday or last month, tomorrow or next month, they have joined the silent sisterhood of women who have been married to men who molest children.
Recently the media has been full of so many gruesome horror stories of about men who wouldn’t keep their hands to themselves. Seeing the faces of their wives on the television really pushed me into action.
I know how to help and haven’t been doing it. It’s time to make amends and make a difference.
Introducing….
Take Charge and Move On…
A Step-by-Step, 9 Month Program
For Spouses and Partners of Child Molesters
to Design a New Life for Yourself After All You’ve Been Through
The Take Charge and Move On learning program has been designed to help women like you to move past the feelings of frustration, rage and helplessness — to begin feeling better, starting with the first few days.
Every week for nine months, you’ll receive an email with a special download link for that week’s step -by-step lesson. Included in the lessons are assignments to complete so you’ll make progress every single week.
Over the next nine months you’ll craft a new version of your life and a new you as we cover how to:
Stop crying and start taking action to make things better for yourself.
Stop trying to control the uncontrollable and step back to take charge. Get past your anger and get on with what you really want to do. Develop a more accurate picture of who you are and what you’re worth. Go beyond changing your feelings (It isn’t enough!) and learn what else you need to do for yourself and your well-being. Re-own your power to make positive things happen for yourself. Use 3 Strategies for untangling your feelings about forgiving the unforgivable. Chart a course for taking action and making changes that count. Develop 6 new strategies for getting back on track when you get discouraged or disheartened.
Instead of simply publishing this information in an eBook or quick coaching program, I’m making it available to you week after week in action sized portions so you’ll actually get the results you want and deserve.
You don’t need another eBook that will clutter up your computer — or more theories to clutter up your brain. What you need, what I wish I’d had, is a weekly “here’s what to do next†action step to complete. You need someone to help you get started quickly and then keep teaching you week after week so you don’t get stalled along the way.
And, that’s exactly what I am going to do when you join other women, just like you, and Take Charge and Move On.
As a member of the Take Charge group you’ll receive …
One 2-5 Page Weekly Lesson for 9 Months – 39 Individual Study Guides!
In Downloadable .pdf Format
Every lesson is strategically created in such a way that you’ll see fast results. Each one:
1.  Is Short and Easy to Digest.
Each lesson is only 2-5 pages in length and contains nothing but “meat.” There is a very real problem these days with “information overload” where the reader simply has too much information to absorb. Each lesson is purposefully brief (but thorough!) so you can quickly read it and put it into practice.
2. Includes an Assignment to Complete.
Every weekly lesson will give you an assignment to complete at the close of the information. Instead of giving you the usual “this is what I’ve done” story, I’m giving you “this is what you do” action steps! Each week you’ll have some easy-to-implement action steps to complete before moving on.
3. Builds as You Go.
Every lesson builds along with your Taking Charge for Yourself activities. Early on we’ll discuss some basics so you can quickly establish a solid base from which to grow. From there, we’ll move into intermediate and then advanced concepts and tactics for multiplying and maximizing your move on to a better life.
4. Challenges You to Succeed Long-Term.
While most online books (and even some high-priced coaching programs) pile on a bunch of information and leave you to put it all together for yourself, that isn’t how things are set up in this training program. By giving you information in bite-sized portions for a full nine months (39 weeks!) you’ll be more likely to actually do something with the content — and you’ll be more likely to see real results for yourself.
5. Helps You Make Real Progress.
When you look back at the end of each month, you’ll actually be able to see the progress you’ve made by putting these lessons into practice. You’ll actually be able to see how your life is changing step-by-step because you’ll be following a systematic, weekly plan of action. It will tell you exactly when you need to take certain steps and how you’ll take them.
“Will it work for me?”
I know it’s easy to be skeptical…I would have been too. If I were reading this I would think no one could understand what I was feeling, how tough things were for me, the pressures I was getting. But take a moment to see what other women have said about this course…
Even though I had “supportive†friends and family, and spent tons of money on therapy through my medical plan with a sweet, young therapist who hadn’t lived anything but the good life, I couldn’t figure out how to feel better or get past what had happened to me. When I started your program, I realized right away that you were someone who KNEW what I was feeling and thinking. Finally I’m able to make the changes I need to make. Ann M – Wisconsin
I was the queen of stuck, after I found out that I’d been married to a child molester. I was so caught up with feeling angry, shamed, confused and wronged that I seemed unable to be anything else. I let it define me and my life. I knew I wasn’t being good for myself, or good for my kids, but I just couldn’t see how to get out of it. Through Take Charge and Move On, you have helped me dissolve that super-glue and get on with my new life. I am so grateful. Maria L – Arizona
Thank you, thank, you, thank you for showing me the way and giving me the tools I could use to take back my life. I have finally been able to move on and become that wonderful person I knew was inside, but so wrapped up in the insulation of hurt I couldn’t find her. Peggy Ann G – Texas
I am so grateful you wrote this program with practical tools I could digest and put it into use. I am a changed woman. I only wish I could give you the great big hug I am feeling. Edith S. – Florida
Each weekly lesson is designed to be “to the point” and immediately actionable.
The first lesson is coming your way as soon as you complete your order.
Included in your first lesson…
How to get started with your own Taking Charge and Moving On program even before you have all the lessons. A 10-step “Startup Checklist” broken down into bite-sized action steps! How to keep track of the changes you are making to combat the inevitable challenges and difficulties you are still going through. 4 simple things to do to start feeling better and doing better in just 2-3 hours each week!
You’ll get this instantly after you join below.
Everything you need to understand the Take Charge and Move On concept and get started is included in just a few short pages.
The format is simple -
Lesson number one will explain a basic overview of how you can start taking charge of your life in just a few short months.
Then, we’ll take a handful of lessons to walk you through each of the initial steps with some “golden nuggets” on getting better and faster results with less work — and less pain.
After that, we’ll look at some advanced strategies for taking your Take Charge and Move On program to the to the next level of profound change in your feelings, your actions and your life. You’ll get beyond “being in recovery†and begin a fulfilled and satisfying life.
Intermingled throughout the series will be lessons on new problem solving strategies, tips and suggestions for helping your children, along with ideas, activities and suggested readings to help you understand you are not alone — and just as important — aren’t responsible for what he did.
Then, we’ll close out our series with a big bang that is going to knock your socks off and help you not just do better, but help you get back on track if you start slipping.

The Take Charge and Move On Program is Totally Affordable…
Even for Those on Really Tight Budgets!
I know what it’s like to live on an alley cat budget, having to make every penny count. And I know that many people would be willing to pay hundreds of dollars for this information. If I were working with you one-on-one, it would have to be more than $100 a session.
However, I’ve been through the pain and trauma you’ve experienced and I remember how tight money can be. Your dollars need to stretch for rent, food, gas, clothes for your kids, and paying for the lights and heat. But, it’s necessary that a little bit — only $17-a-month needs to go for you. You deserve and must have help so you can become more productive and healthy, can Take Charge of Your Life and Move On to more success and prosperity. No matter how you define it, your ideal, productive and guilt-free life, what you spend for this course is as essential as any other health care expense.
So I set the price for a subscription to Take Charge and Move On at just $17 a month. While the complete program runs nine months, you can cancel anytime you choose. If you’re not seeing the results, then it doesn’t cost you anything further.
I’ve been asked, “Hey Dr. Pat, how can you charge so little? What’s the catch?” Here’s the deal. I’m retired so now I only work at projects where I think I can make a difference. I know Take Charge and Move On can make a big difference for women like us who have gone through — or are going through — this particular pain.
On the other hand, I also know that if I don’t charge something you are less likely to use the materials and make the changes that will make a difference in your life. No one fully values what they get for free.
So, it’s a win-win. I cover the course expenses and, for just about $4 a week, you get a new pain-free way to live. I want you to have the kind of full, fulfilled and emotionally stable life I now have. And I understand you will have to work to achieve the changes. I’m confident that the Take Charge and Move On course can take you to a better place in your life.
