Want to enjoy breastfeeding your baby? You can!
Discover how to give your baby the best start in life, learn how to feel confident about breastfeeding, and find strategies to help you get the support you need.
From Lorraine Cuadro, Breastfeeding Counsellor,
Hi,
My name is Lorraine Cuadro from The Essence of Breastfeeding. Welcome!
I am a Breastfeeding Counsellor and I have been working with new and experienced mums for nearly 3 years. In this time I have found that there are so many things you can do or change, to help create a wonderful breastfeeding relationship with your baby.
When I was pregnant I remember most of my friends telling me all their breastfeeding horror stories. I was told over and over how hard breastfeeding is, how painful it is and how introducing formula saved them their sanity. I hated it!
Their stories made me feel confused and worried about how I would feed my baby once he or she was born. It made me wonder if breast milk was really that important, after all their children seemed healthy enough.
After having my baby I found that most people continued to tell me their horror stories and would insist that I give my baby formula, I still hear these stories and most people in my life know that I am a breastfeeding cousnsellor and that I have helped thousands of mums breastfeed!
• If you feel confused or worried and are questioning if you can or should breastfeed, then this book is for you.
• If you feel guilty about not breastfeeding, guilty for wondering if it's all worth it or guilty that you might not be doing it right, then this book is for you.
• If you are currently breastfeeding and are concerned about how often you are feeding, how to tell if your baby is getting enough milk or wanting to change your breastfeeding relationship, then this book is for you.
• If you are looking for great information and practical tips, which will help you establish breastfeeding, or help you create the breastfeeding relationship you want, you will find it in this book.
• I have been where you are now. I know the heartache, pain and confusion that go hand in hand with breastfeeding, I know what it's like to be up all night with a crying baby wondering if he is crying because he is hungry and then getting told by family that I should just introduce formula.
I lived it when I breastfed my two boys!
What this eBook will do for you
I can help you feel confident about your feeding decisions so that you can get support from family, friends, health professionals, and your employer.
I will explain the way breastfeeding works so that you can help it all happen as smoothly as possible with out any surprises.
I will help you define what IS normal baby behaviour so that you can let go of any guilt you are feeling.
The information and stories will empower you, give you back the confidence that having a new baby and receiving conflicting advice can take away.
It will give you ideas and strategies you can try when things are not going smoothly, and most importantly, it will help you to trust in yourself and your baby, something which lots of books and advice can stop you from doing.
How great would it be to not only give your baby a great start in life, but enjoy it too?
This eBook is packed with easy to follow information, lots of practical tips, things your health professional should but may not tell you, and the stories of mums just like you.
It will help you start breastfeeding and truly love it!
Hi Lorraine,
I loved your Ebook!
I am an avid believer that you can never have too much information, particularly when it comes to something like breastfeeding. We expect it to come naturally and think we have failed when problems arise, so the knowledge that many of the problems can be fixed with the right advice really helps.
I am due in 4 days with my 5th child, and believe it or not, although I attempted breastfeeding all my babies, I was only completely successful with baby # 4, and so I am really looking forward to another (and the last) successful breastfeeding relationship. I had finally discovered the joy of the closeness and feeling of achievement and satisfaction that comes with breastfeeding and I was so sad when it ended.
Some of the things you mentioned in your ebook - i.e. the special k, the support of your partner and family being so important etc, were all things I discovered with my last attempt at feeding. My husband and I both come from families where bottle feeding was the norm, so the level of understanding and support was fairly low, and so I attended ABA meetings to get the support and advice I needed, and to stay strong through the harder times.

"Essential Steps to a Beautiful Breastfeeding Relationship" gives you all the information you need to create the breastfeeding relationship you want.
Misinformation and poor advice is to blame for most breastfeeding problems and early weaning.
The scary part is that often the misinformation and poor breastfeeding support is given to mums by their own health professionals, family and friends.
Please don't let this happen to you and your baby!!
I have helped thousands of mums through my website, through the many articles I write for lactation consultants and midwives, through my one on one counselling, and group discussion meetings.
I also want to help you get breastfeeding started on the right foot by sharing the strategies and information I have learned through my own breastfeeding experience, through my constant search for answers, and through attending regular breastfeeding meetings with mums and health professionals.
Anyone currently breastfeeding or considering breastfeeding would benefit greatly from reading "Essential Steps to a Beautiful Breastfeeding Relationship" by Lorraine Cuadro. I have breastfed my two babies until over 12 months and I was lucky enough to have the support and experience of family members who did the same. Within my work I am involved with a broad range of information about breastfeeding and babies in general. However, I still learnt plenty of useful tips and information from this book.
I found "Essential Steps to a Beautiful Breastfeeding Relationship" very warm, chatty, informative and easy to read. It is broken into several relevant sections, some you might expect, some you might be unsure to ask about and some you may not have even been aware of (but you'll be glad they were bought to your attention!). It is very obviously written by someone with both broad and in depth experience in the field who has breastfed herself and worked with many breastfeeding mums. Lorraine gives many insights into her world offering readers the full benefit of her experiences, advice and research.
I highly recommend "Essential Steps to a Beautiful Breastfeeding Relationship" as the handbook for breastfeeding mums and the book that every mum-to-be who intends to breastfeed should read, multiple times, before the birth of her baby so she will be as prepared as she can be for such an important part of her relationship with her newborn.
Many mums find breastfeeding difficult, especially in the beginning. The keys for success in anything, particularly breastfeeding, are confidence, understanding, support and information. This book offers all of these to the reader.
My personal congratulations to Lorraine on crafting such a wonderful resource and on making it so easily available to every mum online!
