I'll bet you said an emphatic NO! Much like the gun laws, all this
act did was to make legitimate owners follow the law. This law, btw,
is only applicable in the USA. If only honest/caring owners adhere to
this law, what happens?

How Does THAT Happen Walter?
Below is an explaination which may help you to understand.
This is how most forms work:
* User arrives at your contact form.
* User enters his/her information.
* User submits form.
What happens is the form is submitted to another page where the
information is collected and used for whatever purpose intended. That
works fine except, the information is "passed on".
WHAT DOES "PASSED ON" MEAN?
The easiest way to get the information on the next page is to use
something called "GET". When "GET" is used, anything can be injected
into the form.
If the form is sent to "yoursite.com/processform.php", the process
form usually has something like "email= $_GET ("$email").
The email is passed by the browser as a url which looks sort of like
this;
Yoursite.com/processform.php?email=someone@someplace.com
This is where spammers begin having their fun! All they do is insert
their desired email into the url above and VOILA, instant SPAM from
_YOUR_ SITE!
That sucks and I'm sure you have experienced it. Your contact form
gets abused time and time again! It's time to STOP that crap RIGHT NOW
and SAVE YOUR Site!
YES BUT, HOW DO SPAMMERS KNOW WHERE TO ADD THEIR STUFF?
I thought you would never ask...
All HTML forms and forms which are written by beginners start like
this;
Right click on a form and view the source. You will most likely see
a line like above.
All the spammer needs to do is add what whey want in the url as
shown. This includes name, email, comments, or anything else requested
by the form.
If your form looks something like this (The form action is
underlined for your convenience.)
Name
Email
Comments
Spammers can go directly to processform.php with a url like;
Your_Url/processform.php?name=spamname&email=spam@spam.com&comments=This
is spam
(name=spamname email=spam@spam.com comments=This is spam)

the most valuable scripts I have seen in a LONG time. You are correct
- I HAVE seen the results of spammers using spam-bots. Sure wish I had
thought of this first. Congratulations on creating a super-valuable

IT GET'S WORSE!
Scripts only need a little help to separate the info like the (
email=spamname1@spam.com,spamname2@spam.com,etc...
The comma separates the email addresses so each address receives the
email. That creates more chance for your site to be labled as SPAM!
On the other hand, you could PREVENT that extra STUFF with SPAM
SENTRY!
SPAM SENTRY shows something like this when you view source:

Please enter the above code in the box below.
You will need to enter the code after every error.
As you can see, the first line has the action, or where the script
is posted. SPAM SENTRY uses a PHP script to post to itself and
therefore does not have a url to post to. SPAM SENTRY simply posts to
itself! This method alone makes it harder for spammers to add
their "stuff" to your form!
Spam Sentry Only Allows What Is Asked For!
Because SPAM SENTRY posts to itself, all the "extra crap" is
eliminated. SPAM SENTRY will not allow it _AT ALL_. If extras are
added, SPAM SENTRY simply returns the user to the form with only the
allowed inputs shown!

What The Heck Is A Robot-nonreadable Captcha Script?
A robot-nonreadable is my own phrase. It simply means that it can't
be read with automated programs designed to read text from images. You
may or may not know that images are now being read by spam bots! They
simply look at the capcha script for the
text (numbers or letters) so they can be added to the form
automatically.
(Note: at the time of this writing, the images were not readable by
robots. I am unable to prevent future ablilities of spammers...)
