What is Acid Reflux?
Acid reflux is a condition that allows gastric juices which have acid in them that was produced in the stomach to move from the stomach into the esophagus; which is also known as the gullet or the swallowing tube. When this happens, the unfortunate among us that suffer from this can experience anywhere from mild pain to a sever reaction, which can result in the discomfort lasting for hours and can disrupt or debilitate the lives of the individuals that have this medical problem.
Today hundreds of millions of people from every country on the globe suffer from acid reflux. More than 60 million Americans experience acid reflux at least once a month and 15 million experience it on a regular basis.
In today's medical doctrine, many health professionals believe the status of your digestive system to be as critical as the health of your brain or heart. They now know that multiple serious conditions start with bad digestion. The patient first becomes aware of these problems when symptoms such as indigestion or heartburn begins to occur.
Today we are inundated with never-ending advertising which results in many people going to their doctors looking for quick relief. They are often prescribed drugs called Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI), (H)2-Receptor Blockers and/or antacids when they have pain caused by acid reflux or heartburn.
While these treatments offer short term relief, they certainly are NOT A CURE and do not allow the patient to live a pain free life. Additionally, when these remedies are used for long periods they can and do hide the indicators your body is conveying that stop you from finding the actual causes of your acid indigestion, which is often a poor diet made up of foods that produce acid reflux and heartburn as opposed to foods that suppress acid reflux and heartburn.
Acid reflux begins when the valve between the esophagus and the stomach is altered. Under ordinary conditions, our muscles act with gravity to generate a force that thrust the foods we eat downward from the esophagus towards the stomach.
People that suffer with acid reflux the exact opposite happens and the pressure from the stomach is less than the pressure from above. This results in a combination of food and acid that should have stayed in the stomach to come splashing back up causing pain and discomfort.
Traditional Western medicine treats acid reflux with the assertion that if we can stop or counteract the hydrochloric acid formed in our stomachs, we can eliminate the problem. After all, if the acid is causing the pain, then remove the acid, correct?
While this can definitely help certain individuals for short periods, it does not offer a long term solution. The truth of the matter is that while this approach solves a portion of the problem, the symptoms, it does not offer a life time cure.
Acid reflux is common, but it can also be severe and lead to serious life threatening health problems. Over time, regurgitation of acidic stomach contents can wear away the esophagus, eroding the delicate tissue, and causing inflammation and scarring.
It can sometimes even lead to erosion of tooth enamel and, in extreme cases, to esophageal cancer. In fact, one in ten people with GERD go on to develop dangerous changes in the esophagus (known as Barrett’s esophagus) that can increase their chances of esophageal cancer.
For most people with acid reflux, the discomfort associated with symptoms can affect quality of life and everyday activities, including work. Acid reflux is also the cause of heartburn and in severe cases, this can be very troublesome.
When esophagatis is present the lining of the esophagus is damaged and may become ulcerated and can result in narrowing, making swallowing of food and, sometimes, liquids, painful and difficult.
What is Heartburn?
Heartburn is a painful and/or burning sensation in the esophagus; just below the breastbone associated most of the time with regurgitation of gastric acid. The pain is mainly felt in the chest, but may move up to the neck or throat.
Heartburn is a major symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease other wise know as acid reflux. Even though the word heart is included its name, heartburn has nothing to do with the heart. The reason it is called this is because of a burning sensation that happens close to where the heart is located.

My Personal Experience
If you're like me and are a long time suffer from the pain and agony that acid reflux and heartburn can bring on a daily basis at the most unexpected times you will soon be FREE of that constant irritation. It was so bad at times that I can remember rolling of the floor almost crying when I experienced a bad bout from it.
Before I learned what I am going to teach you, do you know what I was an expert at? I am sure many of you reading this can relate to this, I was a specialist at vomiting; as disgusting as that is. I would literally stick my left hand half way down my throat to force myself to regurgitate. I would do this to get the acid out and provide me a little relief for a short time.
Over the years I lived with acid reflux and heartburn before I discovered and refined what you will find in this program I must of done this thousands of times, I can only imagine what long term damage it did to my stomach and digestive track.
You never know when it is going to hit either. One second your felling fine and the next second your body is bent over at a forty-five degree angle because of a sudden attack. And of course that always happens at the most inopportune time.

Over Eating and the Damage it does to your Stomach and Digestive Track
