An Internet Marketing "Career" Was Born
Here's more or less how it started...
I took what I had given my friend and dressed it up a little bit more, added more "meat" to it so it was something I would be proud to offer to anyone looking for help starting their own business. I registered an account on eBay and put it up for sale.
I honestly had no idea how or even if I would be able to sell a copy.
After all, I hadn't done any market research, or given any copies to focus groups, and I certainly hadn't spent a ton of money in startup costs like I was led to believe I would have to if I wanted to be an "entrepreneur".
Heck, I was just a corporate drone with a few years of experience under my belt... what did I know about selling stuff online anyway?
What Happened Next Amazed Me
It sold like gangbusters!!! -- and it was perfect timing too because our young family was going through a crisis and we needed some extra cash to pay the bills.
My wife (Julie) and I were absolutely astonished that it could really be that easy.
A few weeks, and about 300 copies later, one of my customers contacted me to tell me how much he loved the product and let me on to a little site called "ClickBank".
Two months later I had an army of affiliates out promoting my product through ClickBank, and the checks were rolling in every couple weeks.
