I had no job to support myself at that time and the break up affected me deeply. So here I was: I had a total lack of self confidence, no intimate relationship anymore, no money to support myself and no perspective for things getting better. My depression got worse then ever. This time it was so bad that I even began to contemplate suicide. Everything seem to me like a cruel gameplay against some enormous odds. Why struggle in my misery anymore? I don't think anyone can get any lower than that. I was a total mess!

As a last resort I went to see a psychiatrist. I was desperate. But I would spend the next two years trying all sorts of medications with very poor results. Then I went to a second psychiatrist who managed to help me a little more but my thought patterns, beliefs and behavior had not changed a bit. Complementary psychotherapy didn't help much either. I realized I have to take the matter in my own hands and seriously do something about my condition.

I began experimenting with meditation, concentration exercises, visualization, developing my will power, reading spiritual literature and many many self help books.
