I have written this guide because when I was an Internet Novice and
looking for help and guidance, I wanted a _HOW-TO TUTORIAL _written_
FOR BEGINNERS, _ to _GET ME _ _STARTED_ and provide some _ KEY
INFORMATION AND SIMPLE TIPS,_ to help me on my way.
I was reasonably computer literate, I could create documents, use
e-mail and manage my bank account on line, but I wanted to learn more
about the Power of the Internet, and how I could really use it.
I thought there must be more Internet Novices than there are Experts.
Everyone needs to learn the basics sometime, and it is difficult for
the Novice to find information.
I wanted to discover_ THE SECRETS OF SUCCESS ON THE INTERNET. _ My
problem was that _WHEN I FOUND WEB SITES_ covering Internet_ _
TUITION,_ _ the _ AUTHORS ASSUMED _ that_ I HAD _ a level of_ PRIOR
KNOWLEDGE _ of the subject.
I had to learn a new language with terms like URL, Hyperlink, blog
and HTML. I was _CONSTANTLY SEARCHING FOR DEFINITIONS_.
There were some beginners guides, but they tended to cover fairly
specific areas such as eBay, Blogging, Affiliate Marketing and a host
of other subjects.
Then it struck me, there was a need for _A GUIDE TO_ help the
Internet Novice find their way around the World Wide Web.
One THAT WAS _WRITTEN FOR_ THE PERSON IT WAS INTENDED, _THE NOVICE_,
