My name is George, and I've been called the King of Mystery
Shopping. Let me tell you my story, and you'll see why.
I have an ordinary day job. I work from 7 a.m. to about 3:30 p.m.
every day, Monday through Friday. I like my job, and as long as
they'll keep me, I'll stay there. But, I wanted a little extra cash.
And, I didn't want a second job. That would take way too much of my
free time, either killing several weeknights or killing my weekends.
Yuck! Who wants that?
I had heard of Mystery Shopping, and had even tried it a few years
ago. But, after a couple shops, it seemed like a lot of work for very
little money. But, oh, how little did I know back then!
For those of you that have never heard of Mystery Shopping, let me
give you a little quick explanation:
There are companies out there that will PAY you to go visit a store.
Sometimes it's a retail store. Sometimes it's a restaurant. Sometimes
it's a hotel, or a parking garage, or an amusement park. If there's an
establishment out there, somewhere there's a company that will pay you
to go there.
Why, you ask? It could be for several reasons. They may need
detailed information about a particular location, or find out how many
customers are there at a certain time of day, or make sure that
employees are following procedures properly, or that the menus are
priced correctly. There's a zillion different reasons, but the
important thing is: they PAY you to go and get this information for
them.
Very often, they not only pay you to go there, but they reimburse
you if you need to buy something for them. A clothing store might pay
you to visit one of their locations. And, they will reimburse you if
you buy a shirt you needed anyway. You can take your spouse, visit a
restaurant, eat out, and not only will the company reimburse you for
the cost of your dinner, they will PAY you for making the trip!
Imagine! Getting paid to eat out! Something you would usually have to
pay someone ELSE to do.
WHY PAY SOMEONE ELSE, WHEN YOU CAN GET PAID FOR DOING THINGS YOU
ALREADY DO??
So, just over nine months ago, I started Mystery Shopping in the
evenings and on weekends. And, yes, it started a little slowly. I only
made a couple hundred dollars in my first month.
But, that was still a couple hundred extra dollars! Not bad!
Once I got going, however, and learned some of the tricks and
secrets most people never discover, I started making some serious
money!
My second month, I made almost $700.
My third month, I made almost $900.
MY FOURTH MONTH, I MADE OVER $2,000 !!
Remember, this is completely part-time, in the evenings and on
weekends, around my day job.
I've made over $2,000 a month now for 4 months straight, and should
have no problem continuing this track for as long as I want to keep
Mystery Shopping. And, at this rate, why would I stop? I'm getting
paid to eat out at restaurants I like, shop at stores I like, and stay
at hotels that I probably wouldn't stay in otherwise, because the
rooms cost so much! I love Mystery Shopping!
Q: "SO, KING GEORGE, WHY DID YOU WRITE THIS BOOK?"
When I first started Mystery Shopping again, of course I told my
friends and family what I was doing. And, as I expect it usually
happens to people that are trying something out of the ordinary, they
were like, "Yeah, whatever. That's nice. Good luck."
After a couple months, and I made a little money, they suddenly were
a little more interested in what I was doing. "Wait, you made HOW
much? Doing WHAT?" They would ask.
After several months, and I was making more than some people make in
their day job, suddenly my friends and family were VERY interested.
They started asking questions like, "Wait, how do you start doing
that? Is that something I can do? How do I get started?"
At first, I felt like ignoring them, because they weren't very
supportive when I first started. But, they are my friends and family,
and I want them to succeed in life, too. So, I started to write down
everything I had learned while doing Mystery Shopping. Suddenly, a few
pages of tips, tricks and lessons learned turned into a short
instruction manual.
But, I made a fatal mistake, at first. The first couple people I
gave my instructions to did the unthinkable. One didn't even bother to
read it. The other read it, said it was awesome, and then didn't even
start shopping.
I realized a universal truth: people don't value what they get for
free.
So, I won't be giving away my tips and tricks anymore. Instead, I'll
sell them for a very low cost. Because with a cost (even though it's
ridiculously low), people will value the information. And, if they
don't, well, at least I won't feel like I spent my valuable time
making something that isn't appreciated.
CAVEAT #1: If this crazy reduced price is still too high for you,
this book isn't for you.
This may sound redundant and stupid. I don't believe it is. You have
to be willing to invest in yourself, and in your life if you expect to
succeed.
I understand that everyone wants to make some extra money. What I
didn't fully realize is that most people aren't willing to DO anything
about it. Even when their hands are held, and they're given advice to
help them past all the mistakes I've made along the way.
CAVEAT #2: If you're just looking for a get rich quick scheme,
forget this book. Forget Mystery Shopping entirely.
Mystery Shopping is for people who are willing to do some work.
Granted, it's fun, easy work, and you can choose exactly how much or
how little you do. You make your own schedule, and you can pick and
choose where you want to go. But, it's still work. It's still your
time, and if you want to make some serious money with it, you need to
take it seriously.
If you're still reading at this point, then this book is for you!

First off, there is enough business for everyone. There are HUNDREDS
of companies each with THOUSANDS of Mystery Shops. An army of Mystery
Shoppers couldn't possibly do all the shops that exist out there.
Doesn't matter what city or state you're in, doesn't matter if you're
in the countryside or in downtown. Many shops can be done by phone. It
doesn't matter how many of my secrets I give away, it won't hurt my
business one bit, because there's plenty to go around.
Second, I believe in paying it forward. I've already become
successful with Mystery Shopping. I enjoy it. Now, I'm happy to give
other people the opportunity to become successful and enjoy what they
do. It hurts me to people struggling in life. Especially, when I know
that they don't have to. I truly hope you will use what I've learned
to become successful and enjoy your life more. If so, then writing
this book was worth it.
