I am the youngest child of three and ever since I moved out my
parents house, my two older brothers and I brought our families over
to our parent’s house and we have one huge family dinner. It was one
particular dinner though, that I want to tell you about.
There we were me and my brothers Doug and Karl, sitting with our
parents and talking about everyday life. But that night I noticed
something was amiss with my dad. He seemed to be a bit off and I just
brushed it aside as him having a bad day (he always was a little

After dinner, my mom and my sister-in-laws were doing the dishes and

read the manual and want to get going on this.” I told him that I
literally just hung up the phone with Doug and that Doug was coming
over at 7pm. Karl said he’d be there and I hung up with him.
Usually I don’t rise until I want to, but clearly this day was
different. As I knew I wasn’t going to get any shut eye, I got up
and brewed some fresh coffee anticipating my father’s phone call. I
waited for two hours with no ringing of the phone and then I just
decided to pick up the phone and call my dad myself.
I dialed the number and the phone only rang one time before my
father picked up and said, “Hey son, I was hoping you would call. I
read the manual and was so excited I couldn’t sleep!” I asked,

I invited them in and lead them all to my home office where I
already had my notes from the day waiting for me and told them all to
have a seat. Then I opened up the floor for questions (and boy where

After a very constructive Q and A, I went online in front of them
