I am, by any definition, an average Joe, just like you.  I don’t have time, money, or energy to burn.  My family and job take precedence over my training, and I have wasted a lot of time following training paths to nowhere.



 



  I have, however, discovered advice that does work (well!) for those of us who would like to build muscle, even though we don’t have elite genetics, have no interest in harming our health with drugs, and will never be able to make training the central theme of our lives.  I would like to share my weight training struggles with you, as well as the information and techniques that helped me to get past each hurdle.



 



It has been a long road since I first tried out for football as a scrawny 10th grader and decided that I needed to get bigger and stronger.  I am grateful to have gained approximately 100 lbs. since that day so that I have tipped the scales at over 230 lbs., and have arms that regularly stretch the tape to 17
