RYAN SHECKLER
Tony Hawk says, "He's arguably probably
the best all-around skater today." With top placings in the X Games
and the Dew
Action Sports Tour combined with his 6
figure income Ryan is hands down today's most widely recognized pro
skater. Ryan
has the reputation of being able to nail new tricks in only a couple
of attempts and then flawlessly repeat them. Get schooled by Ryan

TERRY KENNEDY
From appearing on MTV and getting the covers of magazines to running
with gangs and even getting shot, TK's been through it all. True to
his "I gotta be me" attitude Terry was let go from Element because he
wasn't wearing enough of their product. So he went back to Baker, his
first pro home. Growing up in Long Beach was a tough go with lots of
opportunity to go wrong but Terry made it through. Check some of his
big style here:

PAUL RODRIGUEZ
Commonly referred to as PRod, and son to comedian dad Paul Sr. the
younger protege has said that he may even go into acting like his dad
someday. Paul's a consumate skater who is dedicated to the art of the
skate video. He produced his own commercial video skate project called
"The Forecast" and put some of his unsponsored friends in it and guess
what?...they got sponsored...sweetness. Check out a tight preview of
Paul's flick here: THE FORECAST [22]

MARK APPLEYARD
Hailing from Toronto Ontario, Canada, Mark would actually shovel snow
from his local skatepark in the winter so he could rip the frozen icy
concrete. With all the sponsors Mark has fielded he sheepishly admits
he's been like a bull in a candy shop. Nevertheless, Flip seems like
his permanent home for now as Mark remains at the crest of today's new
generation of pros. Check this: PHOTOSYNTHESIS [29]

ROB DYRDEK
Rob is extremely visible these days. Not only does he star in his own
MTV reality series, "Rob & Big", but he's also been a major
contributor along with sponsor DC in building the Dyrdek/DC skatepark
in Kettering, Ohio. Rob's triumphs are an excellent example of the
kinds of paths to success outlined in SKATEBOARDERPRO.COM's, GOPRO
[36] methods. Personality, style and humor have skyrocketed Rob beyond
just being a skater. Peep some R&B here: ROB jumping from the rooftops
of two close buildings. Daewon has resisted trends and has forged his
own style and identity, another key GOPRO [50] element. Furthermore,
as a "mature" pro, Daewon is a key player in the Almost organization.

RODNEY MULLEN
Sure, Rodney's an "old guy", but he's the inventor of almost every
street trick out there and he's without question the pioneer of
today's style of skate. One of the major figures behind both Tensor
and Almost Rodney still maintains a hihgly visible profile on the
circuit today and nails what GOPRO [58]
is all about. His innovation and style are an inspiration to all and
he stands out as the all time great technician.

GREG LUTZKA
Greg has been basically hitting a lot of contests and bank deposit
machines as he racks up his winnings. Greg's consistency has won him
many high profile contests in the last year, but his win at the
prestigious "Slam City Jam" is the one that may have propelled him to
super stardom, that's if he was not already one. A great all around
guy that everyone cannot help but like, Greg's charisma is a big
selling point for his sponsors. HURRY UP & DIE [65]

DANNY WAY
Danny is a true individual in every sense.
He has given a new definition to the word "Extreme" with his
incredible Mega Ramp stunts, not to mention actually jumping the Great
Wall of China on his skateboard. The man has epic courage. There's no
question he practices the kind of techniques
described in GO PRO [72] to deal with fear. An X Games legend it will
be a long time before anyone matches Danny's amazing world records.
