How to Never Suffer from Exam Anxiety Ever Again
The difference between high-performing students and barely-passing students is actually NOT how much they study…
On a scale of 1-10, how important are grades really?
“In real life, no one cares about your grades in college/university,” some people say.
They aren’t wrong… but they are missing the point.
No one cares about your grades once you have proven your skills and have a track record of success.
It’s hard to build either if you can’t even get a foot in the door with mediocre grades.
Not in THIS economy.
But it’s not even ONLY about the grades.
Just like a bad performance on a mid-term predict a bad grade on the finals, bad grades in school, college, and university are usually followed by bad performance in your career in the exact same way.
… think about it. If you can’t take an exam without anxiety, sweating, and mind-blanks…
…what makes you think you’ll do any better during job interviews?
… during important meetings?
… when asking for a raise?
… or a promotion?
Now the REAL question is…
Can you do something about it?
Or is your fate inevitable?
I’m not going to take examples like Bill Gates, Thomas Eddison, or any of the hundreds of hugely successful people who failed in school or higher education.
You already know that it is possible to change.
Just like it’s possible to lose significant weight, build muscle, recover from trauma, or even defeat cancer.
Luckily, your transformation will be much simpler.
“But… but… I am who I am!!!”
Oh god. Look, I’ll be honest. It may sound very mean, but I mean it in a loving way, okay?
You’re not even the same body as you were a few years ago because the cells you are made of are being replaced constantly.
It doesn’t take more than a simple image, a person’s influence, or a couple of words to completely change the way you think, feel, or act.
You know this. Deep down, you know this.
You are the captain of your life, not the victim.
Read it out loud. Repeat it to yourself.
“I am the captain of my life, not the victim.”
In a study, a group of people was asked to smell a sample of cinnamon before taking a test. They were told it would enhance their creative thinking.
As you might expect, they performed significantly better.
Because they believed in themselves.
All because of some stupid cinnamon.
…Okay, I love cinnamon, actually. Still, you shouldn’t need cinnamon to believe in yourself!
Here’s what’s REAL
Nothing. Literally nothing.
If you got hit by a car today and suffered from memory loss, you would become an entirely different person.
What does that say about who “you” are?
Just a collection of memories? Experiences? Beliefs about yourself and the world?
Yeah, pretty much.
Prescott Lecky, one of the first to really explore self-image psychology, found that almost ALL bad performance in students was coming from their self-image.
With some extra attention, he helped those students change their beliefs, and they quickly started excelling in school.
“I’m a bad student,” they might say. “I’m bad at math. I freeze up when the teacher asks me something.”
They were told it was true. The things that happened confirmed it. And so, it must be true, they thought.
What they didn’t know was that they were CREATING their reality, rather than being a victim of it.
Their mind was holding them back in order to make their thoughts a reality.
As soon as they changed deep down, their grades shot up.
Wouldn’t you like to experience a transformation like that?
Imagine this for a moment..
It’s the day of that big exam.
You haven’t studied for a minute yesterday, but rather hung out with friends, enjoyed some sun, and slept like a baby.
And now you’re walking into the classroom…
…but you’re fully relaxed, smiling even.
There’s a little bounce in your step.
A happy melody in your head.
After putting down your notebook and pen, you lean back and let out a long, relaxed breath.
You feel a little flutter in your chest.
Excitement.
You are fully prepared, and know without doubt that you will score better than you ever have before.
And then the clock starts ticking, and you answer one question after the other, not a hint of worry.
No mind blanks.
No panic.
No pressure.
Just you, performing at your very best.
Getting the grades you deserve to have.
So how can you make that a reality?
This is not some superficial “study trick”.
Not a simple mantra to repeat, or some “trick” to feel more confident.
This process is about understanding the incredible tool that your mind can be and using it correctly.
You might think that after years of research, we’d already know.
Well yeah, we do know a lot.
Scientists do. Researchers do. High-performance athletes know. Business tycoons know.
But somehow, this knowledge never made it into the education system.
And it’s SHOCKING how wrong many “study guides” and “productivity teachers” are. They have no clue.
Once you understand that, you will feel like you’re seeing a whole new world.
Like everything suddenly makes sense.
But you’re just getting started.
Next up is a deep dive into your own individual issues.
Sounds like therapy? Don’t worry, it’s just you and yourself, and a little bit of reflection. No biggie.
And then all that’s left is practice.
Changing your beliefs, one step at a time.
Changing your thought patterns, your words, your actions.
In a month from now, you’ll be amazed at how different you feel…
…and how different you will PERFORM.
Okay, soo… what’s the catch?
It’s a bit like cooking.
If you’ve never set foot in a kitchen before, cooking pasta might seem daunting and scary.
Boiling water. Careful, dangerous.
Salt. How much, again?
But once you’ve done it once or twice, you realize that it’s actually super simple.
Yeah, you still have to TRY.
You still have to do that kinda scary thing once.
You have to do something you’ve never done before.
This is what awaits you here.
You have to keep an open mind and accept not only that YOU are responsible for your grades and your success (that can be hard), but also accept that who you are is nothing but who you believe you are, and easily changed.
And then yeah, you have to put in a little bit of work.
Like maybe an hour per week.
Yeah, that’s it.
Oh, there’s one more thing:
You have to be able to read. Like a couple of pages, a short book even.
But since you’ve read so far, I think you’ll manage.
Seriously, it’s not rocket science.
It’s like taking an honest look in the mirror.
At first, it might hurt to see all your flaws and faults laid bare.
But then… then you finally take control and stop being the victim.
And that is the most amazing feeling in the world.
Though… well, acing that exam and seeing the look on everyone’s face also feels pretty good. Yeah.
Ready to get started?
So this is it.
The moment you make the big decision.
Will it be a leap forward, into the unknown adventure, where dragons and riches revelations and good grades away?
