Getting back in the gym, losing them few extra pounds that had crept on but instead I carried on down my normal path. Eating whatever I wanted. Not paying attention to the advice and now I was going to suffer...


He made a sudden jerk to free himself, I countered and managed to keep him pinned but was that my pants that ripped? You’ve got to be kidding as if this isn’t embarrassing enough...


A Police officer that’s so out of shape he can’t control the guy he’s arresting and now my ass is trying to escape too!


I have to get out of this position...


I can see my partner still struggling underneath us. She can’t do much other than keep them updated on the radio. This is down to me but what am I going to do?!

I can barely move in this uniform that was made to fit a slimmer version of me.

This was, for me, the turning point in my life where I decided I was never going to be overweight again!


Sadly the pressures of shift work had led to me eating whatever I wanted whenever I could.


I had no time to be picky, no time to prepare food, no time to drive to healthier places, it just wasn’t an option.





It was a stressful job for sure...


I coped by going home and eating sweet, tasty treats to pick me up and feel better.


Each night on the way home I’d offer to ‘treat’ my other half and stop into the shop for ice cream, chocolate and a dessert too...


She found it sweet but really I knew I was doing it for me!


You see she is one of them lucky people that can eat and eat and somehow still stay slim and sexy.


But me… nah!


Sometimes I feel all I have to do is look at a Krispy Kreme and I pack on a few pounds.


Months passed in this way...


Sure I had made attempts at cutting it out but honestly, looking back now, they were half hearted…

I can eat it twice as fast with both hands!"





I’d buy all the makings of a salad with the intention of taking it in every day to work but by the time I’d added the cheese, left over pizza slice, different meats and it’s got to have ranch dressing too!...


I think I may have been better off with a McDonalds! Plus you have to have snacks too right?? I’d stock up on protein bars and health bars to take in with me but eating 2 at a time probably wasn’t the best idea…


I didn’t like crisps so that was a bonus but I could never resist the cookies, cakes and chocolates often left lying around the office each day...


My sweet tooth would crave them and before I knew it I was sneaking another over to my computer.

So eating all this food meant it had to turn into muscle right?


That’s what I had heard so I sandwiched workouts in before my 12 hour night shift, stayed behind after the morning shift and pumped some iron
