About "The High Powered Learn English Conversation" Video Course

Learning to have a conversation in English is like learning to be a better soccer player. You may have all the knowledge and know all the rules. So learning the rules over and over again may not be your solution. What you need is practice of the skills, and opportunity to grow as a soccer player.

To effectively engage in a meaningful English conversation you also need skills. You need to know how to speak fluently, understand what you hear and to have a good level of vocabulary.

We will help you achieve that.

This course is designed to teach you how to have English conversations. Most of us don’t know where to start to learn English.
A Google search this morning for the term “Learn to speak English” offers 31 200 000 results. Almost all the pages present the same tired solutions.

Given the fact that many of the words we use in English stem from Latin and Ancient Greek words – in common with many other European languages – what is it about English that has attracted this reputation for being so fearsomely difficult? And is it really even that difficult, when so many other countries adopt it as their second language and speak it a lot more fluently than the British speak other languages?

English is an ancient language, and over the course of many centuries, interesting sayings have been incorporated into everyday language that make little sense if you haven’t grown up with them. “Barking up the wrong tree”, “the straw that broke the camel’s back” and “raining cats and dogs” are all examples of idioms that add colour to the English language. If you find yourself starting to use idioms when you speak English, well done: you’ve mastered it!

One of the reasons why English is known for being difficult is because it’s full of contradictions. There are innumerable examples of conundrums such as:

There is no ham in hamburger.
Neither is there any apple nor pine in pineapple.
If teachers taught, why didn’t preachers praught?
If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?
Overlook” and “oversee” have opposite meanings, while “look” and “see” mean the same thing.

Don'y worry - we have the formula and we will teach it to you!

Letter From The Teacher

Are you frustrated trying to learn English conversation? Do you want to learn?

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in this program.

Before we begin, may I ask that you do the most important thing you do during this course?

Take a moment to think about what you want out of this course. Choose something that you can easily measure, maybe learning to improve your conversation by 100%. We already have a deadline. It is the end of module 1. All you need is a target to reach by then. I suggest you mark the date you plan to improve by in your diary, book a dinner date with a friend that speaks good English and work towards that date. Maybe call it “Learnenglishconversation.online Dinner”

I use the Google calendar site to do this kind if thing. For instance, I create a daily reminder to myself about how much many words I need to learn this week. I also have a monthly reminder telling me how much vocabulary I aim to learn this year.

Post-it™ notes get lost. But that daily reminder coming at you day after day soon starts to nudge you back on target.

This course has two sections – Module 1 and Module 2. Please start with Module 1 and go through each of the units. This is a fast track to getting a solid base and the results you want.
Once Module 1 in complete you may want to do Module 2, which will put your into the class of a native English speaker.

If you are frustrated and feel that you are not moving as fast as you want to, please send me an email. Remember we have the option of practising your English with a native speaker, a highly recommended approach for rapid progress.

Learning how to have a good English conversation is really something you can do. We’ve proven it with thousands of students.

Now, it’s your turn.

Good luck!
