The story behind "The Accidental Chef"
During a move from one house to another, I found that my recipes were all tossed into a box. As I would look for that "one" recipe, I started the process of organizing them. I found some family recipes that I thought were long gone, recipes from friends, along with my own favorites.
I'm not a world renowned chef, not a prize winning author, just your everyday housewife with a love of cooking.
I love to cook. I love spending time in my kitchen. I'm not Martha Stewart by any stretch! To me, cooking is a stress reliever. I also love to cook barefoot! Yes, sometimes accidents happen. More so than often with me! While using a large, sharp knife one day it slipped from my hands and landed tip down, right between my toes, sticking solidly into the kitchen floor! I about fainted when I realized how lucky I was!
Then there was the Kale incident. I found out how to "not" make Kale chips! After the smoke cleared from the house and I got the smoke alarms all shut off, the smell lingered for hours! I can't eat Kale to this day!
I have burned my fingers, almost stabbed my toes, and had minor fires on the stove top. Some days, if it could go wrong in my kitchen, it will!
Hence, The Accidental Chef!
