The 3 Most Common Problems Holding You Back From The Results You Want (And How To Solve Them)







Problem 1: Inefficient Workouts







Quite simply, if you're not doing the right types of workouts, you're never going to get the results you want. At best, it'll take you much longer than you want.

Bicep curls and some running on the treadmill? Not enough.

Body part splits? Not the most efficient.

Just cardio without weights? You're slowing lowering your metabolism because you'll be losing muscle mass.

There is a better way. There is a way to exercise that is efficient and most importantly effective.



Solution: Intervals and Metabolic Resistance Training




Without a doubt, interval training and metabolic resistance training are the most effective forms of exercise for getting lean in the shortest amount of time possible.

If you're not familiar with metabolic resistance training, know that this is just a form of exercise where you combine multiple exercises into fast paced circuits. They're killer effective and what I've used with nearly all my clients in the past.

Interval training, often sprints, is another effective form of exercise that doesn't take much time to get results.

Combining these two types of training help you build lean muscle and shred body fat. What could be better?




Problem 2: Lack of Consistency







This could really be problems 1-1000+ because without consistency you'll never get results. This of course matters for exercise as well as nutrition.

So why is this so hard?

With all of the obligations we have in our lives it can be difficult to stay consistent with things that should be important. It's a struggle for many people to exercise consistently and eat healthy most of the time, but guess what? It can be done!



Solution: Set Your Schedule, Hit Minimums, Add Variety




Consistency is the name of the game when it comes to getting results and keeping them, but this can obviously be difficult with all that we have going on in our lives.

Figuring out your schedule is one of the first things you should do to help you stay consistent. Are you going to workout in the morning or evening? Which days of the week? What are you going to do each workout? What do you do if something comes up and you have to change your schedule? What are you going to eat each day? When are you going to grocery shop? When are you going to prepare your food? What are you going to do if you have to stay late at work? Taking the time to figure out your answers to these questions as well as others, will go a long way in helping you stay consistent every week. You need to figure out your schedule and have a plan of attack, but you also need to figure out backups for when things don't go as planned (Which often happens).

While we always seem concerned with the "ideal amount" or "best way" a more minimalist approach is often what we need (Especially when we're so busy). This applies directly to exercise, but even with nutrition you'll realize that cycling through a few basic meals is the best way to stay consistent.

When all else fails, adding variety is exactly what you need to stay consistent and get results. Just because one method works, doesn't mean another method won't work. You can get fit in a variety of ways, finding the one the best suits you will help you stay consistent and get it done.




Problem 3: Going at it Alone
