About The Author
As a gaming addict myself, I feel I should share my store and experience of how I was able to overcome this horrible addiction. I started gaming at a pretty young age, maybe around six years old. Straight away I was hooked, I’d play with my Mum at night on the PlayStation and then on the computer when Dad was working. Although at this stage I was only playing one hour a day, it was sowing the seed for a much more serious addiction later on.
This addiction continued right through till I was eighteen, I realized for myself how bad my addiction had become when I spent a whole year doing nothing but playing video games. I knew I had to somehow beat this addiction so I started playing Guitar and running. For me breaking the addiction was going cold turkey, remarkably it only took 7 days of not playing for me to completely break my addiction. I had control over the computer, stopped playing video games, lost weight and become genuinely more happy with my life.
