Pitching Velocity Mistake #3: Overtraining

You only have so much energy in your body. When your goal is to gain velocity on your fastball you have to make sure you don’t overtrain. There’s a fine-line between getting your throwing arm stronger and increasing your velocity vs. burning yourself out and having a season-ending injury. You have to balance it out so you always feel fresh and strong when you pitch.
