DO  YOU  HAVE  A  FEAR  OF  FLYING, TOO?  YOU'RE  IN  THE  RIGHT PLACE!
You’re supposed to be going on the holiday of a lifetime but instead of excitement, all you feel is dread.
Dread that you’re about to be hurtling through the air at hundreds of miles an hour, in what essentially amounts to a tin can.

Do any of the following sound familiar:
• Your hands start sweating
          • You feel your heartbeat start to increase
          • You tremble
          • You have racing thoughts about death
          • You imagine horrific crashes and explosions and can’t get those images out of your mind
          • You hate the idea of not being in control
          • You feel trapped
          • You worry you’re making the other passengers nervous…
          • But if you get off, you’ll let everyone down!

If this sounds like you, then you’re in the right place!

A fear of flying might seem comical to those on the outside but for those who have experienced it first-hand, it’s no laughing matter. Not only do you feel sick with fear but you can end up quite literally grounded with your wings well and truly clipped.
Until you get over your fear of flying, the most high-paying jobs won’t be open to you.
Until you get over your fear of flying, you’ll never get to experience travel to some of the most exotic places on earth.

But here’s the good news. There IS a cure for a fear of flying and it’s surprisingly easy for anybody to execute.
Actually that’s not exactly true. There’s not ‘a’ cure, there are lots of cures. Lots of tricks, tips, hacks and advice that can all help you to learn to soar through the sky, worry free!
And I hope you’re sitting tight because I’m about to tell you how you can start learning those tips and strategies.

So if you’re like my Granddaddy, who didn’t like being any higher off the ground than when he was riding his horse, keep reading!

My  Story: How  I  Overcame  My  Crippling  Fear  of  Flying
I’m here to help you with your fear of flying because I know just how crippling it can be. I can one hundred and ten percent relate to your plight because I used to feel the exact same way.
As I’m writing this right now in fact, I’m about 30,000 feet in the air and I’m loving every minute. I love the little dinners that they bring round (even though the ‘cheese’ I just ate had the consistency of rubber), and I love all the in-flight entertainment. I love watching the sun set from above the clouds (quite a magical experience I think you’re agree) and I love coming into land and getting a little ‘sneak preview’ of the new country I’m about to visit.
It’s super relaxing – until the guy in front decides to lean his chair back into my lap anyway…

That's me on a plane today. But a few years back it was a completely different story. My family had to pretty much wrestle me to the airport and I would spend weeks before the flight sweating profusely as I psyched myself up for what I had to do. I would be sick to my stomach in the waiting room and I used to find myself wishing for a hurricane so all the flights would be cancelled.

Once on the plane my hands would grip so hard into the arm rests that my knuckles would become completely white. I’m not ashamed to admit that I almost cried on a flight and I remember on one long haul flight, waking up surrounded by screaming children, not being able to breathe, and feeling suffocated and dehydrated; I almost had a panic attack.
At home I can’t stand not being in control. The slightest thing going wrong gets me all in a fluster. I hate it when my wife drives!

So sitting for seven hours straight in a metal tube hurtling through the sky? No thank you!

How ANYONE Can Get Over Their Fear and Start Flying Free as a Bird!
So now you’re probably wondering what changed. How did I go from being that guy to the guy who is sitting here now, happily writing this and looking forward to watching Rocky in a moment.

Well, the answer is that it took a lot of research, a lot of trial and error and a lot of patience. I tried literally everything from having needles pushed into my skin, to hypnotism. As you might have guessed, neither of those are what actually worked.

But all that hard work paid off because eventually I found several different strategies that did work. I found these tricks by reading online, by looking through old books and by chatting with some people who had once had exactly the same phobia and managed to get over it.

The term ‘high flying executive’ is no misnomer. The bigwigs in business need to fly around the world to earn the big bucks and so a fear of flying can cost them thousands. I met some fascinating characters from the world of business who shared with me the very tips they used to overcome their fear. You’d be surprised how many of these seemingly bulletproof business-folk were once scared of flying!

Introducing the ULTIMATE eBook to Help Cure Your
      Fear
So I’ve amassed all this knowledge and I got some great stories and anecdotes along the way that I think other people who have a fear of flying will absolutely be able to relate to.

That’s why I put it altogether into a book. This book was ten years in the making but it’s the ultimate guide to conquering a fear of flying. This is a comprehensive name on the subject. I called it:

How to Cure Your Fear of Flying With Humor, Plus Practical & Educational Tips, Plus 60 Website Resources
Why the name? Simple: because that’s precisely what this book is!

What to Expect in the Book
Inside the book you will find a large selection of powerful strategies to help you overcome a fear of flying and to become really rather confident in the air. This is powerful psychology, practical tips and clever strategizing, and it really works. You can say goodbye to your phobia and start to really enjoy your holidays. The world will truly become your oyster!

What’s more though, this book is also a highly entertaining read that will have you rolling in the aisles (just make sure the seat belt sign is turned off!). When you can do that, you’ll find that suddenly it doesn’t seem so bad. Keep some of these jokes in mind and you’ll find it a little harder to take flying so seriously!

Lastly, the book contains a huge list of resources to help you track down even more information and to continue to do your research. This book will not only educate you on your fear of flying but will also serve as a jumping off point (sorry for the expression) so you can learn even more! The list of resources also include more books, eBooks, online courses and more – a lot of which are completely free. This is a goldmine of resources for someone who doesn’t like flying and it’s all laid out on a plate for you!

But wait, didn’t I say I was going to help you learn to overcome your fear right now? Well, good for you sticking around! To help show you some of the quality you can expect to find in the book, I’m going to highlight a few good bits for you so you can start to see how this can really work for you. If you like what you read, you’ll definitely enjoy the rest of the book! And even if you don’t buy, you get some free tips that can help with your problem. Sound good…?

Let’s start with one of the tips I       found really handy . . .

Did you know that rapidly wiggling your toes back and forth and tightly curling them up and down can help you to relax when you’re starting to feel anxious about flying? Not only does it help you to feel more grounded but this little trick will cleverly take your mind off of the fact you’re flying. It’s actually closely related to the ‘body scan’ technique used in mindfulness meditation – but you don’t need to know about all that.

Sounds simple? Well just give it a go next and see what a difference it makes!
What’s more, when you combine it with all the other tricks in the book, you’ll feel unstoppable in the air!

(By the way, all this stuff can be applied to other areas of your life too. Once you overcome a fear of flying, you can overcome a fear of anything!)

Humor tips:  Don't worry! Relax. You can do all your worrying if and when something goes wrong until it's fixed!-- If God is your co-pilot; swap seats!-- Heard on Southwest Airline--"Ladies and gentlemen, if you wish to smoke, the smoking section on this airplane is on the wing; and if you can light 'em, you can smoke 'em."

If you struggle with noise – something that can make the whole experience that much scarier –       then try carrying noise cancelling headphones with you on the plane. This can help to block out the screaming from the kid behind, as well as helping you to forget your environment. Try listening to soothing, relaxing music through your earphones.

Another great tip?       Never take the last flight out! There’s always a chance your flight will be delayed or cancelled. If you know there’s another one flying out a little while after, then you won’t be left in the lurch quite so badly. This little tip can take a lot of stress off of the waiting period. That last tip I picked up from a great website by the way. You can check it out at [www.timgard.com/blog/Have-Fun-Flying-or-Working/]. That’s just one excellent little resource we dug out!

VERY  FUNNY! – In part        : “Tip 8:. Board the plane. Trace a bunch of religious symbolism on the outside of the plane with your finger as you walk through the door. Instant God-force-shield. Draw a little Yoda too, just to be safe. If you have time, a Dumbledore."

Oh and while I was doing that research I came across some pretty amazing facts about flying laws. Did you know that in Burdoville, VT it’s technically against the law for a married man to fly on a Sunday (guys, get married and move to Burdoville and you’ll never have to fly again…)! And if you’ve been married for less than a year in West Union, OH, then you’re not technically allowed to fly without your spouse…
And from Peewee, West Virginia--Don't let your horse fall asleep in the airport.-- -Upperville, VA- no person is allowed to read the Sunday paper while sitting in a chair at the airport while church services are going on.

"We're afraid to fly--gotta keep one foot on the ground at all times!"
I find this stuff hilarious. Along with fun little sayings like “Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet air
      intakes.”
I like to pull out this book and read through these flying funnies when I’m about to take off. Laughter really is the best medicine. You know what they say!
“Laugh and the world laughs with you; frown and you frown alone.”
