Below is a list of foods that you should avoid at all costs (even if you don’t follow Paleo strictly try and avoid these foods in general to maintain a healthy body and reduce the risk of some chronic diseases).
Processed Foods
Processed foods can wreak havoc on your health and cause chronic disease, majority of processed foods are stripped of all nutrients and packed with additives which have been known to cause chronic disease.
Sugar
Sugar has been shown to feed cancer cells, trigger weight gain, and promote premature aging, should definitely be avoided at all costs.
Soft Drinks
Soft drinks and Fruit Juices are loaded with fructose and will definitely throw you off your Paleo diet.
Grains
Grains usually consist of high contents of phytic acid (a mineral blocker that prevents the absorption of calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and copper), anti-nutrients and lectins and often cause digestive problems and autoimmune diseases.
Dairy Products
Eating dairy products has some serious risks including weight gain, increased cancer risk, and increased fracture risk. Dairy may also cause other problems like constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, bloating, gas, diarrhea, allergies, eczema, and acne.
Legumes
Legumes, like grain, contain phytic acid and lectins. Legumes are also high in carbs, not altogether a bad thing, but this can inhibit weight loss.
Artificial Sweeteners
Research suggest that using artificial sweeteners prevents us from associating sweetness with caloric intake and as result the cravings for sweets becomes more pronounced and usually leads us to binging on sweet items.

The use of margarine has been shown to contribute to heart attacks, increase cholesterol, decrease auto-immune response, lower the quality of breast milk and decreases insulin response.
Vegetable Oils
Vegetable oils are bad because they contain very high levels of polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs). Polyunsaturated fats are highly unstable. They oxidize easily and cause inflammation and mutation in cells which leads to all sorts of issues from cancer, heart disease, endrometriosis, PCOS, etc.
Trans Fats
