What you will learn with this eBook:

Preparing the Environment

'Prepare the environment' educates parents and early childhood professionals how to set up the spaces that the preschooler resides in the home and the classroom, for optimal foundation brain development.  These spaces should encourage independence, movement, sensory exploration and language development so that the potential of each little human is optimal.

Practising Skills and Functional Play

'Practical skills and functional play' suggests the best activities and toys to purchase that promote optimal brain development in the first years of life.  It's a step-by-step guide of what to do and what to purchase for the child of two to six years of age to encourage both motor development and sensory development.  These skills provide all the prerequisites for little children prior to going to formal school.

Work Endeavours

'Work endeavours' uses everyday household and childcare environment activity to encourage the development of little children.  This includes all areas of the home or childcare centre but in particular working in the kitchen.  It teaches little children how to care for themselves, their environment and others.

Ten Recipes for Sensory Motor Fun

Please find ten amazingly simple recipes for encouraging sensory and motor play in the young child in order to promote brain development.  These wonderful activities incorporate both movement and sensory stimulation to ensure the growth of the brain neurons and encourage play with others in the environment.

Testimonials

"For me, The Parenting 5: Practical and Independent Little People book was an eye-opening read, as I realised how much more my toddler was capable of and how many more activities I can involve him in to build essential skills. The book offers sensible, practical advice, written in an easy to follow, well-structure manner, accompanied by clear photos to reinforce the concept being conveyed. Many activities in the book use items from around the home to encourage play and foster motor skills and self awareness, thus reaffirming the belief that you don't need to spend huge amounts of money on toys for your children to be engaged in play and learning.
It offers links to additional resources to help both parents and educators further their knowledge and skill-set through the Toddler Education Services Facebook page and website. I am now following updates on their Facebook page as there are new ideas that I'm finding very useful, being posted on a regular basis. The website is basic in content, but laid out well and provides a means for purchasing literature or guidance sessions, either in person, online, or via Skype."

“I received my copy of Toddler Education Services -The Parenting 5 today and it is amazing! I had several “Why did I not think of that?” moments. The tips the book gives on organising children’s wardrobes (to encourage them to dress themselves) and how to get your kids to participate in household chores are priceless! If you want to improve your parenting skills, invest!”

Lucy Cornes, CEO SheShopped and Loves Australia

“Like many others I purchased the first book (of  The Parenting 5) and was amazed at the simplicity in these amazing lessons of learning for our children. The second book is even better than the first book – the foundations of book one really transform in book two. The set would make a lovely gift for grandparents who often care for our cherubs, a thank you gift to a teacher or a gift for new parents. Don’t miss out on what these books can do to set your children up for life”.

Emily Mortimer, Human Resources Manager, Piper Alderman Lawyers and mother of William

"Ruth, I want you to know something! Your books come everywhere with me and they are such an incredible source. The difference you are making in little children's lives is incredible. You have completely changed the path of our family and our children's lives. The impact you made on both of them brings me to tears somedays".

Sarah Geogriadis, Mother of Eirene, Vasili and Gabriella
