The alkaline program is a comprehensive program addressing the whole body, mind and spirit to provide you with the tools for transformative changes that will have you locked in the life of abundance, health, and happiness.
My background in exercise and movement started with Jane Fonda workouts back 24 years ago. As a teenager trying to look the part and also one wanting to maintain the weight, I remember following Jane Fonda VHS cassettes from my own living room. I was a dancer and believed the cardiovascular benefit will serve me well…..I was thinking, “this should tone me up”.
As I matured, I seeked various forms of exercise and tried everything from kick-boxing, aerobics, step aerobics, sculpting classes, elliptical, and running. I was introduced to yoga during my graduate study in nutrition. Due to limited access to classes at the local gym, I found a yoga DVD of Kathy Smith and I began to practice daily. I liked the practice, I felt it grounded me and revived my whole body. It wasn’t easy in the beginning, however, as I improved, I liked it more and more. However, I was only interested in the physical outer benefit of long, lean, and toned body. As a Christian, my obstacle was to demystify the belief that yoga is another form of religion, that it was rooted in Hinduism, something to stay away from. Now I know that it’s far from the truth
