For anyone new (and returning) to Nexus, here’s your fastest ticket to reaching the level cap at the shortest time possible. I made this not only to serve as a leveling guide, there are also tips on crafting that will give you shortcuts to filling up your gold cache instead of grinding only. I have included herein information on where to go straight for questing that will harbor the most rewards without going through every single one of them. I have only one goal when I made the guide and that is to see newbies playing levels with veterans in no time. If you’re interested on how to make that possible for you, read on.
What This Guide Can Do for You:
Hit the Level Cap in One Week
The first thing you’ll want to know is how in the world I was able to get from level 1 to 50 in a week. Well, I couldn’t because I have a job and other responsibilities. But you can, if you have the time to put into it. It doesn’t matter whether you’re playing Dominion or Exile, this guide has the info you need to blow past your friends like I did. You really can hit the level cap in seven days or less. It’s not magic and it isn’t cheating, it’s simply knowing where to concentrate your resources most effectively. Depending on how you play and which class and path you choose, it may be more effective to, say, level up by undertaking specific quests than to grind for experience in a certain area. Think of all the trial and error this guide can save you.
Build the Character Thats Right For You
Before you’re free to explore Nexus, you’ll have to create a character. You’ve eight classes spread over six races to choose from so if you really want to excel the first time around you won’t want to waste your time with a build that you just can’t get into. Who wants to waste time playing with a character for a few hours and then discovering that you just don’t like the skill set or how it plays and having to start all over again from scratch? And to make things even more complicated, each class can fill one of three roles. That’s 144 character creation possibilities (or 288 if you include sex). This guide will help you choose wisely the first time so there doesn’t have to be a second time, or a third.
Skills, Builds and Paths
Of course, once you have your character you’ll want to know all about skills and builds and paths. The races, classes and roles you choose during character creation determine your character’s abilities and characteristics, but the path you choose will unlock path-specific content depending on your play-style. How you face that content depends on how you choose to build your character. It stands to reason that, regardless of the path you choose, you’ll be faced with many challenges. What weapon should you have handy? Which armor should you wear? The right build and skillset can be the difference between sweet, sweet victory and humiliating defeat.
Get all the Gold
What would an MMO be without mining money, digging for dollars, collecting coins or grubbing for gold? You’ll need money, and lots of it. There’s potions, weapons, armor, pets, and of course putting together the ultimate set of PvP gear. You’ve done it before in other MMOs, and you’ll be doing it here. Sure, you could buy it from currency exchange sites like InGameDelivery.com if you’ve got the real-world cash but if you want to do it yourself you’ll want to know which quest rewards are the most lucrative, which enemies give the best drops and which items or materials you can harvest or grind for to sell. You need gold, and this guide will tell you the best way to get it without having to buy it from somebody else who’s read this guide.
All About Crafting
Whether you go with Tradeskills or Hobbies or both, WildStar has an impressive crafting system and how useful it is to you will depend on how well you understand it. Cooking, farming and fishing are Hobbies and can be done at any time, but there can only be two Tradeskills active at any one time and they can only be switched (for a price) once per day. Do you want to craft items to sell, or to use? There are currently ten different options here. Do you see yourself crafting weapons and armor? Or perhaps you’d prefer to be a miner or maybe a Tailor. Other Tradeskills include Outfitter, Survivalist, Technologist and Relic hunter. This guide will let you know what it is you’re getting with each and where to find and buy the plans and materials you’ll need to put them to work for you. If you play your cards right, you might make enough cash to add a third Tradeskill to your repertoire, the honorific and unofficial Tradeskill of Merchant maybe even Millionaire.
Be all that You can be in PvP
Let’s say, though, that you’re an MMO veteran. You may play through the story and do the quests but that isn’t want you’re here for. You’re here for the PvP. In this case, you’ll probably want to start off building your PvP character before you even hit the character creation screen by planning out your path, comparing skills and builds and looking at weapon and armor tables. You don’t have to go to a forum to find all the info you’ll need; you can avoid the trolls and clever gamers posting false info to ensure themselves of victory when you come up against their characters. This guide has everything you need to put a character together from scratch, choose the best race and role to fit your play-style and outfit it for the sole purpose of taking other players down. You’ll also find tips and tricks for PvP combat itself for when you hit that level cap and are ready to start showing players who’s boss.

The Story of this Guide
This guide is the culmination of a lot of hard work, trial and error stat tracking and timing. It’s been a long, painstaking process but a wild ride nonetheless and fully an adventure in itself. But where did this guide come from? How did I put it together? Come, gather ‘round the screen and you shall hear the tale.
I’ve never been a huge fan of MMOs. Sure, I’ve played many of them; Archlord, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Old Republic online and Elder Scrolls Online just to name a few. After all, my day job is selling them so I’ve got to know something about ‘em, right?
But I’ve never been all that great at them.
Well, normally these days the extent of my online forays were limited to hanging out in front of fog gates in Dark Souls 2 waiting around to be summoned as a phantom to replace missing humanity and lost souls from my numerous deaths so when I was given a beta access code for this new WildStar MMO I tiredly accepted it and went home to waste my evening with another online game.
After the game downloaded I set about choosing a class, creating a character and actually playing the game. I didn’t do very well at first, was slow to level up and no matter what I wanted to do I couldn’t seem to get the hang of things. I almost gave up in frustration.
But I stuck with it. I didn’t want to be the only one at my store who gave up and so I persevered. I made notes, not of the bugs I found but of where I got the most experience, which attacks worked the best, how the nuts and bolts of the game seemed to work and in doing this I made an amazing discovery.
I discovered that not only could I be okay at the game I could be great at it. My levels didn’t just catch up to my friends’ but rocketed ahead, eventually leaving them in the dust. I hit the level cap in days instead of weeks. I had all the currency I wanted. And I was having fun.
While other players had learned about bugs and spent their time giving the developer feedback as was intended, I learned about the game itself. Instead of bug reports, I typed notes.
Those notes became the foundation for my guide. After the game’s launch, of course, things []had been changed around, rebalanced and reworked and I had to go back and verify that all my calculations still came out right, that the same skills worked or that I still got the same experience from quests and enemies. Some of it had changed while some stayed the same and I had to sort out which was which.
It became my pet project. And in the end my results were still as amazing, astounding and unbelievable. I could still hit the level cap in record time and I still knew exactly what to do. At least, after I’d verified my data and tactics.
I decided that I should neaten my notes, type up my tables and write out the right things to do, and that was a project in itself, complete with screenshots. It was only after I was finished, though, that I realized what I had done; without thinking about it, without even knowing what I was doing, I’d created the ultimate unofficial guide to WildStar. It’s amazing how things happen sometimes.
This guide, then, is the fruit of all my labours, the final form of my pet project. All my data is here, all my info, tips and tricks. They worked for me and they’ll work for you too; all you have to do is give it a shot. You won’t be sorry.
