Dear Gardener,

Growing Organic Food is such a rewarding pastime and can add so much beauty and health to you and  your home; but, despite all your efforts, sometimes your great expectations turn into dismal disappointments...

The vegetable lot in your backyard is supposed to be a succulent vision of beauty, a miniature copy of the one you may have seen on TV in those huge greenhouses. Instead, it's untidy and overgrown. The cucumbers are growing too closely together and the size of growth  of your tomatoes is just unsatisfactory. How much better it would be if you had solid, step-by-step advice on how to plan and control that lot.

Now You Can Learn How To Develop
A Foolproof Organic Gardening Plan...

You'll Find Hundreds Of Tried-And-True Tips
And Simple Tricks Like These In
THE FOOD4LIFE ORGANIC GARDENING GUIDE:

How to Get More Vegetables and Fruits out of a Small Garden - You can get maximum yields by growing successive crops on the same patch of soil, using midget varieties, growing tomatoes, beans, cucumbers and squashes vertically, and using planters on terrace or patio for vegetables and dwarf fruit trees. Healthy Vegetables - The pH of your soil can spell the difference between success or failure. Organic Products do best when the pH is around 6.5 (slightly acid) to 7.0 (neutral). Lawn Work Saver - The simplest, surest way for you to get fertilizer onto a lawn or garden bed in the right amount is to use an adjustable fertilizer spreader that can also perform double duty as a distributor for seeds, lime, sulphur, etc. Herbs-- to Look at, as Well as Use in Cooking - To most people, herbs mean seasoning. But they can also be used to add accent to your grow beds, or as a complete decorative garden all by themselves. When Grass Isn't the Answer - Most ground-cover plants are better suited to steep slopes than grass which is difficult to mow in such locations; under certain circumstances they also control erosion better than grass because their leaves break the force of rain and their roots dig deeper to hold the soil. European Cucumbers - These popular outdoor vegetables do best in bright, indirect or curtain-filtered sunlight, with night temperatures of 65o - 70o and day temperatures of 70o or higher. Soil should be barely moist at all times.
A Way To Keep Your Peppers Blooming "Like New" For Years...

...If you plant your seeds deeply (ten inches deep instead of usual five or six inches) they will produce beautiful large and uniform peppers all year round.
How to Increase Your Number of Tomato Blooms - Foliar feeding (a mixture of inorganic plant foods dissolved in water and sprayed on the leaves) is an easy and quick way to supplement mid-spring and mid-summer fertilizer feedings, particularly if blossom production seems to lag. You Want an Apple Tree --but Don't Know Which One - The European Golden Apple tree and the Jonathan Red Apple tree are fast growing, bear apples as early as two years after planting, cast useful shade within five or six years, and are relatively free of pests and diseases. Feeding Foliage House Plants - They should be fed fertilizer infrequently--no more than once every three to six months, and this schedule should begin no sooner than six months after the plant is purchased. Scores of "How-to" Illustrations that Instruct, Inspire and Illuminate
When it comes to acquiring a skill or mastering a new technique, one picture is often worth more than a thousand words. Here, for the first time, is an inexpensive, professionally illustrated gardening reference library that abounds with visual aids - photographs, diagrams and drawings - that will help you achieve the easy-to-care-for, beautiful garden you've always wanted. In addition, each volume contains a foolproof guide that tell you what seeds, vegetables, fruits, plants, trees and shrubs you can grow in your area, and when they should be planted.

P.P.P.S.  FOOD4LIFE ORGANIC GARDENING GUIDE has been receiving "bouquets" from thousands of healthy and happy customers. Here's just a sampling:

Thank you so much for this book. My father used to have the most beautiful vegetable garden and he grew everything organically. This book has been a blessing to me; much of what is found in it follows the techniques my father used and some new insights as well.  My husband complimented me today on how amazed he was with what I had done. Much of the credit goes to what I learned from your book
Jessie Whitmore, Portland
Hello,
This great manual sets out effective strategies for working with, rather than against, nature. Illustrated in full-color showing exactly how to use a comprehensive range of chemical-free techniques, the book enabled me to create an outdoor environment that will not harm my children, my pets or wildlife. The emphasis is on growing naturally better-tasting fruits and vegetables and cultivating healthy plants in healthy soil.
Sheri J., Napa CA.
Hi there,
I was interested in growing as many vegetables as possible in our small plot. your book told me how this could be done (through a two months crop rotation and with almost no digging at all). The book also told me how to take better care of my ornamentals, set up a compost bin to feed my soil, take care of nasty insects organically, prune fruit trees & so much more. I consider this book to be my 'Garden Bible'. I read it often & always find new things that I have missed or not had the chance to apply. Filled with pictures and diagrams, this book is a must have for gardeners who don't know where to begin. Read it anytime, no matter what season & plan your dream garden.
Thank you mr. Sherman

Who would have thought that I could grow fruits in Oregon? "that will never work!" , "you're crazy". This was about as encouraging as it got.
Mr. Sherman, thanks to you, I will be eating fruits this winter from my fruit trees. The book is insightful, and a wonderful resource for the average gardener wanting to try something new with their plants. In addition to my fruits, I now have a wonderful herb garden complete with purple basil, rosemary, and chives. All of which I can now identify with certain confidence thanks to the excellent photographs and visual resources. My tomato plants are providing enough fruit for all of my jealous neighbors, and the only hint I can give them is to buy the book, (seems obvious to me).

Thank you for the resource, I know I will appreciate even more this January when I am eating fresh fruits in Oregon!

Sincerely, Cindy M.
Hey Michael...plan on planting the garlic late October. Getting a load of compost this weekend or next. I plan to plant all hard-neck varieties. I cannot believe the amount of garlic I got this year! Love it. Gave a lot away too. And even sold some!
Thank you.

I live in a townhouse with a patio and very little planting space but this guide really inspires me to do amazing things in it. I love the articles and the gorgeous pictures.
Lots of great ideas and tips. I am a new gardener and I have a lot to learn so I got the FOOD4LIFE in hopes of expanding my knowledge. And I did!
I love this Book. It is clear and concise about how to do things without going out to buy lots of special tools and products. Just a very fine guide. I ordered for myself and sister, wish I had ordered one for my daughter as well.

Chris Bartos,
Hello
I recently moved to a house I bought and the front gardens are almost non-existent. I was looking for some good ideas to help me develop this garden. I ordered FOOD4LIFE Organic Gardening from you and I have received everything I dreamed about. Some of the chapters are about veggies and some about herbs... And what I like is that the chapters are interesting, there are lots of pictures, and there is plenty of information within the pages of this book. I enjoy reading and looking at the pictures. It is a very enjoyable book and well worth the money I spent on it and I will utilize some of the ideas in it to develop my front gardens.

Bryan Harrison, Charleston, Illinois
This book is great! Easy to read, step by step instructions. It even tells you how to start your own compost, which is something I will definitely try now. I have gardened in the past but I never thought about these methods. I recommend this book to both beginners and those of us who think we know a thing or two about gardening! Two "Green" Thumbs Up!!

Orlando, Florida
This manual was easy to read and contained the appropriate information for any beginner setting up their first organic garden. I have only begun gardening seriously in the last 4 yrs and this manual will improve my efforts considerably. I want to do things the right way and I was just about to give up gardening totally when last year hardly anything produced. My tomatoes didn't grow and the cucumbers died. The only things I got to grow was carrots and onions. And then some of the carrots were white and not orange-red. I am now inspired to give it another whirl and with living in a very rural area I can create a large compost area. Thank you !
Clara Robertson, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
This is an excellent reference book that I find myself constantly using. Sometimes it is in reference to a specific problem, other times, I just find it interesting to read. Most often, I will pick it up to look something specific up and then realize that 30 minutes has gone by because I have found other interesting things to read. Great, reliable, organized well, and lots of great ideas.
Robert Singleton, Dallas, Texas
This book has a lot of information for beginning, as well as experienced gardeners. Very informative from pest control to garden and flower beds, to harvesting and planting just about anything. Great resource book.
Lynn, Seattle
I want to garden extensively and try to grow as much of my own food as I can, so I am pretty serious about organic gardening. I was given this book as a gift from my dad two months ago, so I'm new to gardening, and although I have acquired a fairly extensive library of books, this remains my favorite. It is the first thing I pick up when I want to consider growing a new type of plant, or wish to double check that my approach is sound.
Peter Turner, Baltimore, Maryland
Your manual helped me to maximize my garden's potential without pesticides or store bought fertilizers. Additionally, there are many factoids on the "old fashioned" methods of gardening that were learned by trial and error over the history of humans.
It's a great source for "use what you have" gardening. For some things, like insect control, there can be more than one or two solutions depending on your area and what you're growing.
A handy guide for the beginner or intermediate gardener.
Crystal Brenton, Manchester
I find this book to be very helpful. This is my first garden, and so far am having great success, in no small part because of this book. It has great advice on the how to's of everything you'll need to know to have a successful garden from composting to pest control, planting to harvesting. The photography is outstanding, it's a welcome return to nature for a busy mom of two young sons. You'll enjoy reading this book as well as the viewing experience you will also have. Enjoy!!
