WHY THIS BOOK ?

You must be thinking there are so many books out there claiming to provide similar results, what is different about this book.

I appreciate that thought. If I was in your shoes, I would be thinking the same.

Let’s be fair. You must have gone through tons and tons of websites, books, seminars and what not who all claim the same. With the exception of a very few, most of this material is written with little or no personal experience. The intention is just to sell you some stuff, make some money and that’s the end of it.








HOW DID I COME ACROSS SOMETHING SO POWERFUL ?

That’s an excellent question again. I mean why you would listen to some one telling you how to live a better life if the person himself has not experienced any success.

Let me tell you a short story. In the summer of 2012, I was diagnosed with a weird thyroid problem. My doctor said I will be dependent on medication for the rest of my life as there is no cure for it. He explained to me a horrible process of how it might be cured but then I was going to lose proper function of my thyroid. Medicine was supposed to manage that process then.

To be honest, I was really depressed. Looking at me you must have gathered I am young guy. There is one thing about me that I am really proud of. Whenever I am encountered with a problem in my life, I exhaust all the resources to find a solution. Most of the times, I find it. I did the same in this situation.

I have always believed that in addition to the physical world that we see, there is another world out there which we can’t see but which had more impact on our lives. Force of gravity is a simple example. I started reading books. I read tons and tons of books. What I discovered is it was possible for me to regain my health again. The rest is, as they say, history. Just so you know, AlhamdolillAh, those problems are completely gone.






WHAT IS U TURN YOUR LIFE ?


What is this title about? To be honest, my wife came up with this wonderful title. The intention is two ways. One meaning that you have a right to take a U turn in your life and that’s what this book will help you achieve. Second meaning is YOU as a person can turn your life. I just love the title as it so simply yet completely communicates what we have in the book.





The book breaks down the entire process in five simple steps;
Creating emotional intelligence, Setting goals, Improving your self-image Using visualization Using affirmations





The above list might be entirely new to you or you might have read about it at other places. Whether you are a veteran or a novice is the field of self development, I have briefly discussed the five steps in the following paragraphs;






1. Creating Emotional Intelligence






The first step to changing your life is to create emotional intelligence so that you understand your emotions.

Emotions have the same role in your road to success as a GPS or a navigation system when you are driving to a new destination. Though you know that the destination exists, you don’t know what route to take.

If you were driving from say New York to Buffalo, and you have newly bought car navigation system but you don’t know how to use it. What do you think will happen.

You will be frustrated for one since you will be learning to use the machine.

Second, you will make wrong turns and it will be longer and harder to reach your destination. If you understand where I am going with this example, you can now understand why so many people who have goals in life are still struggling to reach those goals. They either do not know that they do have a guiding system. Or they are aware that it exists but do not know how to use it. Is it a surprise then that they have are stuck in life or moving in circles. Not living the life of their dreams.






2. SETTING GOALS







If goal setting seems like a daunting task, I have some suggestions in the book to make this a fun exercise.

Rather than keeping vague ideas in your mind about what you want in life, it works wonder when you write your ideas down as goals. Setting goals brings clarity to your mind as it shifts ideas that were in the background to the forefront.

Just as when you are driving to a new destination, whether you use a map (like in the good ol’ days) or a navigation device, you have to define the location you are driving to. I know setting goals seem like a really difficult exercise.






3. IMPROVING SELF IMAGE







Have you ever wondered what’s the difference is between you and Warren Buffett? Or between you and Mother Teresa? We are all made of same flesh and blood. We all have a number of opportunities in life. What’s different is what we think of ourselves and our limitations.

Self-image is not the image that you see in the mirror every day. Self-image is how you perceive yourself.

Do you think you are a great achiever who can get whatever you want with little effort? Or do you think you have a miserable luck, everything that you touch turns into a problem and you are living the most difficult life on this planet.

I love this quote from Wayne Dyer. He says,






“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”






4. USING VISUALIZATION






Have you ever observed when go to see a house with the intention to rent or buy it. The house may already be furnished. But as a prospective buyer or tenant, you immediately start to talk about how things can be changed around to fit to your requirements. You are kind of dreaming of how it would look like once you move in. This is exactly what is meant by visualization.

The difference is, while doing visualization, your eyes are closed and you are completely focussed. It creates a prototype of the real-life experience before it materializes. It helps in bringing your goals from the field of thoughts into physical existence.

The main hurdle that many people face while doing visualization is lack of focus. They find it really difficult to quite the mind so to speak. If your mind continuously generates random thoughts even if you are trying to meditate or relax, its kind of annoying. 

I discuss three simple techniques in my book on how to calm your mind and create focus.






5. USING AFFIRMATIONS

Just like you might not know the real workings of a computer but you still use it to give you what you want, use affirmations and get results.

I have heard many people talk about how they repeat and repeat affirmations but they don’t work for them. Just like any other process, there is a way to do it.

The best affirmations always come directly from the heart. If you want to know whether a particular affirmation is the right one for you, say it loud and pay attention on how you feel when you say it. If it does not feel good to say, modify the words, change it as long as you start feeling good while saying it.

I have suggested many affirmations in the last section of my book. You can use those as a starting point.

As promised at the top of this page, I would like to leave you with the concept of Let Go. In my research I have discovered that many a times we are not realizing our goals because we ourselves are the obstacles. Deep down we do not expect ourselves to be successful or get what we are trying to achieve.

My solution, repeat the following sentence as loud as possible, every morning. Modify as and where needed. You will need to change based on your goals. I am giving one example that you can then change.






I LET GO OF ALL THE RESTRICTIONS AND CONDITIONS THAT I HAVE PUT IN PLACE ON MY HEALTH. I LEAVE IT TO GOD/ALLAH/UNIVERSE TO GIVE ME A HAPPY AND A HEALTHY LIFE.






If you want to see results, be persistent. Do this at least for 30 days and keep your eyes and ears open for good things that will start happening
