I’m not going to hold anything back in this letter. In fact it’s possibly going to scare you a little bit when you read it! I’m one of those people wholikes to be DEADLY honest and sometimes the truth hurts.
Don’t worry though. Just like a Disney movie this story has a happy ending, it just took a lot of hard knocks to get there. As a kid growing up we moved around a lot and I lived in places which you would commonly known as ghetto’s. I had no real father figure in my life; the men that were in my life were either on drugs or in jail.
You could say that I had a tough upbringing,
tougher than most.
I tell you this not so you feel sorry for me but so you can see the true inspiration of what I’ve overcome to be where I am now. You see, as I was growing up and experiencing my life there were a few things that I learned. Let’s call them Rules for Living.
Today I want to share with you my rules for living and succeeding in life. Once I’ve shared a few of those with you I’m going to invite you to invest in my new eBook called From Failure To Fearless.
It is more a biography than an ebook as it shows you the struggles that I went through, the lessons that I learned, and some of the humiliating jobs that I had to work to achieve the success I have today.

Let’s get straight into the rules that I’ve learned for living a successful
Rule #1: Having A Dysfunctional Childhood Does Not Mean You Are Doomed To Repeat It!
Just because you moved every second month of the year, had an abusive or nonexistent parent, lived around addiction, or lived in a dangerous neighborhood does not mean that you yourself need to embody these traits.
With the right thought process, with the right strength of character, and with the right attitude you can achieve anything. Your past does not predict your future, you are in control of your destiny and you realize that the world is your oyster.
(In my case this is certainly true!)
Rule #2: There’s Always An Underlying Problem Behind Addiction
I personally battled with food addiction for a very long time, constantly ballooning with my weight. Any time something went wrong I turned to food as my only solace and it resulted in low self esteem and an even worse depression.
You see, food and how you see yourself can affect your overall mental attitude and without the right mental attitude success is not possible. My addiction with food was long fought. I was just lucky it was food and not drugs or alcohol like the people around me.
Understand that addiction, in any form that it comes, is based on underlying problems you haven’t dealt with. You need to face those “demons” to make the addiction go away. Something that I finally did at age 28 and from that point forward it was like everything in my world turned to gold.
Rule #3: Break Your Family’s Traits Before They Break You
I grew up in a poor family, one that just “survived,” and I was lucky enough to get out of this “survival” mode and move onto bigger and better things. The only way to actually do that though is to break the mold of your family and break through their traits.
Understand that while your parents are your greatest influence on your life they don’t have to be the only influence on your life and you are able to break through the bad traits and become your own person. Don’t think that you are restrained by who they are when you choose who you become.
As you can see from just these 3 rules alone I’ve had a tough life, one where I’ve learned lessons the hard way.
I don’t want you to have to learn lessons like I did. I want you to look at FEAR differently than I did.
Let me talk about fear for a moment, because fear is the underlying theme of my whole story and probably yours as well.
Fear is consuming: when you don’t know where your next meal is coming from, when you don’t know how you are going to pay your debts, when you don’t know where your next dollar is coming from. Fear is consuming…
…The kind of fear that comes with this uncertainty is consuming. It can make a grown man cry, a grown woman crumble, and an entire family of people so desperate they’d do anything for just a single dollar.
I know this kind of fear. I’ve lived this kind of fear for a large portion of my life and I don’t want you to live this fear. I don’t want you to let FEAR control you EVER again. I want you to feel powerful and in control of your life and of your fear. I want you to know that the failures you have in your life are only stepping stones towards success.
Bottom line…
I don’t want you to be debilitated by fear EVER again.
In fact, when fear takes hold of you I want you to shake it off, take the next step and keep on moving with your life because you KNOW that something is good around the next corner.
