With an ever growing need to supply factual, research and evidence based information to our clients, we have spent many late nights and grueling days researching and compiling the latest proven eating plan designed to generate weight loss and healthy metabolism.
Physio & Fitness believes a healthy body starts with a healthy mind, and surplus to this, research has shown that poor health associated with poor eating habits has negative effects on academic scores and mental performance. As a result, our NutriFit Clean Eating Plan is designed to not only help metabolise and invigorate the body's processes, but also stimulate and refresh the mind.
A common misconception about weight loss is that it is simply a matter of how much or how hard we exercise. In reality, research indicates that weight loss might be as high as 80% totally dependent upon the dietary food intake of a particular person, and approximately 20% associated with the exercise or activity levels of that person (in accordance with their metabolism).

Want to eat your way to health? Here is a good start:
Romaine Lettuce–with minerals like potassium and a big dose of vitamin A, just a little romaine lettuce goes a long way. It’s vitamin K helps your blood to clot normally, and it even has circulation-improving oxygen and is a great source of enzymes that aid in digestion. Tomatoes–this delicious red fruit contains high amounts of the antioxidant lycopene. Present in even higher amounts when the tomato is cooked, lycopene protects against skin cancer and heart disease. Strawberries–just one cup of strawberries gives you 130% of your daily recommended dose of vitamin C. This makes strawberries great for fighting viruses and cancer, and it can also make your skin look healthy and smooth. Apples–apples are full of fiber to help you stay fuller longer and have a nice clean digestive tract. Their skins also contain an antioxidant that protects your skin from harmful UVB rays. Just remember, wash them well with a pesticide removing soap or buy them certified organic for the best results. Eggs–eggs are nature’s wonder food. They contain high levels of protein for their size, and they do not affect your cholesterol negatively like was once believed. Almonds–just a small hand full of nuts contains all kinds of minerals including magnesium, manganese and iron that are hard to find in any other source. Walnuts–these tasty treats are packed with alpha-linoleic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid. ALA is great for your brain, which is why walnuts are often referred to as brain food. Just a small handful, about a fourth of a cup gives you 100 percent of the recommended daily allowance. Dark Chocolate–I see that light come on…I am finally speaking your language now, right? Good, organic really dark chocolate, say 85% or above contains heart-healthy flavonoids. When you enjoy it in moderation at about 1 ounce per serving, you can make this treat a part of a healthy eating regimen. Extra-virgin olive oil–this is another heart healthy oil that is great drizzled on salads with a little balsamic vinegar or apple cider vinegar mixed with your favorite herbs and spices. Olive oil contains essential fatty acids and is good for your heart. Fish–this food contains many essential fatty acids as well as lean protein to keep your muscles working without the extra fat. Fish like wild-caught salmon and others with a pink flesh, also contain powerful antioxidants that reduce your chances of cancer.
But let me tell you, just because these foods are awesomely healthy doesn’t mean that you can eat as much of them as you want. Now you didn’t know I was going to say now, did you!

PROTEIN BROWNIES
1 cup almond meal 1/4 cup Nativa sweetener 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup coconut (shredded) 4 egg whites 2 scoops chocolate protein powder 2 tablespoons raw cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup frozen berries Mix all dry ingredients In a blender combine berries and water till smooth then add egg whites and blend till combined Mix wet and dry ingredients together and pour into a baking tray Bake for approximately 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius
