The Awakening Workshop is a resource website for the development of;
Consciousness, Self-Awareness, Spirituality, and Joy!

Awakening is a solo journey. No one can do it for you, and only you hold the answers for your own salvation. That being said, this workshop provides resources, validation, and support, along with our personal experiences and insights to assist individuals who's lives are being transformed by the emergence of consciousness.
When the Awakening Process begins, it is a Gift from God,
so don't worry about trying to make it happen. When you are ready, consciousness will begin to emerge automatically as a natural consequence of your spiritual evolution.
What you do with that emerging Consciousness, is up to you.
I should clarify that we have all been awakening since incarnation so there isn't really a specific time when the process begins but there is a time when we begin to notice. When we become consciously aware that it's happening, that's when we become active participants.
As I began to recognize my own mind beginning to awaken to reality, I was overcome with an unquenchable desire to understand why happiness had eluded me for so long. My longing to know became the driving force behind the new direction my life would begin to take.
This website is the culmination of the material and resources that have been of benefit to me along the way. Since the inception of our relationship, my wife and I have boldly sought the road to happiness, which led to the study of the awakening process, emerging consciousness, self awareness, and ultimately to the re-alignment with our spiritual selves.
Our personal experiences along with our spiritual development led us to write our book;
"Manifesting Consciousness"
Sub-titled; A Personal Journey Through the Awakening Process, to further share the challenges and pitfalls we encountered along this difficult, yet deeply enriching, transformative journey.
As Higher Consciousness manifests within, day to day life begins to transform as perception of ones self and the world at large begins to bathe in the glow of new light. This perception is pristine and unspoiled by the fear the ego would have us believe. Eventually happiness and joy engulf you, but not before earnest, resolute inner work and self evaluation on the part of the seeker.
Our book and this website are designed to stimulate and encourage dialogue about awakening in order to better understand the role of emerging consciousness in altering our lives. Deeper understanding changes your perceptions leading you to further integrate the "awareness of reality" into your daily routines and regular activities.
Deniece and I have come to realize that each of us hold the answers to all of life's difficult questions. They're buried beneath a profuse layer of beliefs and misconceptions created by the ego. As we clear away those positions, opinions, and our strictly held beliefs, our own internal guidance system (that originates from spirit), begins to emerge and challenge the thoughts that have distorted the image we have of ourselves and the view we have of the world around us. As we share new insights and understandings that come from the "Source" or the "One", we accelerate the awakening process for ourselves and in turn raise the level of consciousness on the planet. Since we are one and therefore connected to everything, a global shift in consciousness occurs as each of us re-aligns with spirit.
I have found it helpful to validate my internal guidance by sharing my insights with others in order to distinguish whether it is coming from the Ego, or from Divinity. Direction from others who are recognized as being further up the path, can ensure momentum in the right direction while helping you to sidestep obstacles along the way.
You won't find much sensationalism in our story, there will be no accounts of travel to far off lands or mysterious answers to impossible questions or magical entities being channeled in languages that no one has ever heard of. There will be no promise of instant transformation (for a nominal fee) into the enlightened being you hope to become. Instead what you will find are down to earth, real life examples of how the awakening process has personally altered my own life and that of my wife. Throughout this journey our lives have taken unpredicted turns leading to controversial choices that have struck fear into the hearts of the unconscious. Living outside of the proverbial box is a natural byproduct of increasing consciousness and brings greater focus to the the dysfunction and insanity that is common place in the world today.
This body of work is not for the squeamish, as we tend to reveal what can only be seen by some as profoundly personal bringing to light our obvious similarities in thought and experience and further pointing to our "oneness", challenging us to see beyond what we currently believe to be true. Through exposing insecurities, fears, weaknesses, and our social conditioning to the light of day, we diminish their power. Once the painful and sometimes terrifying aspects of our lives are seen for what they truly are, (illusions created by the ego), we can finally start to challenge the stressful, unhealthy, inaccurate thoughts that create them, and giving us the opportunity to see through the illusion.
To transcend our fears and insecurities we must first recognize and understand them. Then by taking ownership and responsibility, we empower ourselves to finally have a chance to change weakness into strength. Eventually our experience of life will be dominated by peace, love, happiness, and joy. Once our fears are fully diminished, love will be our constant companion and peace will be our state of being.
The experience of "Heaven on Earth" is not only possible for all of us to achieve,
it is our Divine right as human beings.
Each of us is on a unique journey and for those of you who would like to share your experiences with others, please feel free to send your stories in and we and we may share some of your insights in our monthly Newsletter.
Every aspect of our lives has meaning as everything is divinely orchestrated to help us reach enlightenment. That may be hard to believe given the fact that some experiences seem utterly horrific at worst and merely terrifying at best. Through honest sharing we learn to negate negative social stigmas, cruel judgments, and societal conditioning; all things the ego uses to keep us imprisoned in fear. This unconsciousness prevents us from taking the necessary steps to challenge the ego thereby giving it the power to control our lives. By design, we will remain confined behind these illusional walls until we are ready to remove the veil by being willing to drop our sacredly held beliefs and finally awaken to reality.
"Reality" is;
Life happens for us, not to us.
It may not be easy to see the dysfunction in your life and even more trying to accept that "difficulty" could possibly be a positive thing. I have come to see that hardship is a great blessing. Until we have suffered as a result of entertaining the desires of the ego, we typically don't choose the arduous road to self awareness. In fact, suffering holds the key to our salvation. If one is not suffering there simply is no reason to search for another way. You must touch the fire to know what it is to be burned and you must be unwell to recognize and appreciate wellness.
For me, the greatest challenge of the Awakening Process has been the victim persona. I've become ultra aware of the ego at work as it makes me perceive myself as the victim. Every person has this archetype alive within their being, some experience it rarely in passing and others use this way of being in the world as their chief operating system. Any situation can be seen as a blessing or a curse. You may ask how a grave illness can be seen as a blessing but to one who has received the gift of illness there is no doubt. every time you see yourself as being victimized challenge yourself to see what benefit might be hidden beneath the surface. But be kind to yourself and know that you have always made the best choices you could with the understanding you had at the time. This is what is meant when Jesus said; "Forgive them for they know not what they do." When we know better we make better choices. Don't let so called mistakes make you feel inadequate because that is but another way for the ego to feed on victimhood. There are great rewards that accompany the new awareness you will receive when you keep the victim at bay such as;
Peace of Mind, Increasing Joy, the transcendence of Fear, and the experience of Love.
(Not to mention Empowerment.)
Love is nothing like the adolescent idea of unreserved adoration from another. I sometimes hesitate to use the word "love" because it has been so misunderstood and misused. People desperately run from one relationship to the next, feeling that if they find the "right" person, they will have found love; that in the other, they will feel fulfilled, secure and loved. But love cannot be found outside of one's self. In order to experience love, one must first love oneself and then all of life. When you learn to love yourself, a loving partner is simply a bonus and a blessing. I have been blessed to have found a partner who is also interested in awakening; she provides me an opportunity to experience love on a level that shakes the very ground beneath my feet! Our union leaves me in a state of awe and wonder to think that God has sent me a partner so willing to walk the path at my side and enrich my life every step of the way.
Globally, as consciousness rises, our current fear based operating system will begin to collapse as love, integrity and authenticity emerge in the place of fear and greed.
Through this process I have discovered that understanding basic human behavior is helpful to navigating a changing world.
Have you become aware of the awakening that is taking place within you? You would not be interested in this subject matter if you were not somewhat aware. Once you begin to question, the truth will be revealed to you. The desire to do so comes from the Spirit. When the apple is ripe it falls from the tree. In other words, when you are ready to become conscious of reality, you will.
This website was created for the individual who is interested in discovering Universal Truth and becoming self aware.
Change can be difficult, but there is support to be had. In this website we provide free of charge;
resources, personal examples, validation, and hopefully inspiration to help you stay the course and sustain you along the way.
The following web pages offer further insight on the given topic. Volumes could literally be written about each topic, but that is not the intention here. Consider reading a page or two in the morning while you sip your favorite beverage. Then contemplate the information throughout the rest of your day. I prefer contemplation to meditation because there are no special conditions required. Meditation can be very helpful in getting us to slow down from our hectic lives and take a moment to be still and present, which for many can have a profound influence in helping us reconnect with our spiritual selves. However, integrating a contemplative state as the fully present, fully conscious, and fully aware witness is what works best for me. This aware presence allows us to take part in worldly experiences without being controlled by them. This is what is meant when Jesus said "Be in the world but not of it".
