I STRUGGLED WITH WEIGHT PROBLEMS SINCE I WAS 19

My weight bounced up and down like a yo-yo for over 10 years.  
Many of my friends in college were “perfect.”  I wanted to be
just like them, and tried EVERYTHING to get my weight under control.

I kept an eye on them since we were always together.  They ate the
exact same foods I did.  It never appeared on their bodies, while it
seemed everything I ate stuck right to my waist and hips.

I remember thinking, “Life just isn’t fair!”

My very first diet was one you may have tried.  Just two protein
shakes a day plus a salad or other sensible dinner (what in the world
does “sensible dinner” mean).

The first few pounds came off but I was miserable. I had no energy
and felt hungry all the time.

Despite loving my new “low fat” body, I couldn’t take it
anymore!  I replaced just one of the protein shakes with a real
meal.  The weight came back on so fast it would have made your head
spin.

Of course I was convinced it was all my fault.  I just needed more
discipline.

What is wrong with me?

Why did I lose 5 pounds time and time again…only to regain 10?

Next time it will be different.  Each time a friend got married, it
was time to “try again” before the wedding.  I’d lose the
weight only to watch it magically appear on my body again.

Over the years, my friends and family watched me struggle, strain,
and fail dozens of times.  They watched my weight bounce up and down
until the scale became my mortal enemy.

I hit the breaking point when my “large clothes” didn’t fit
anymore! How did this happen?

Time to call in the professionals.  This time I went to one of those
local weight loss programs where you buy food, work with leaders, and
check in weekly on the results.

A strict calorie controlled diet with personal help and
accountability had to be right for me.  Someone to tell me exactly
what to eat.  I went to every weekly meeting and picked up my
prepackaged food for the week.

The food sucked, but I didn’t care.  I lost weight.  I thought
being hungry was just part of dieting.  You know the old saying,
“No pain, no gain.”

I was married to the gym.  All that exercise combined with barely
enough calories to feed a rabbit left me lightheaded and worn out.

THEN DISASTER STRUCK…

I went to my Mom’s friend’s house for dinner.  She made chicken
nachos. I ate and ate…and almost couldn’t stop. My famished body
was screaming out for real food!

At my next weigh-in, I gained two pounds.  Failure.  I was in
tears.  I gave up…AGAIN!

Why could everybody else eat what they wanted, but not me? It
wasn’t like I was eating fast food every day or even chips and
cookies.

I desperately wanted to gain control of my weight.

Ten years on the diet rollercoaster.  Multiple sizes of clothing in
my closetdo you realize how expensive that is?    Constant
cravings.  Desperate hunger.

By the end of the day, I had to unbutton my pants because my stomach
was so bloated.  I felt the weight coming on when I just looked at a
cookie. Failure wears you out.

Desperation landed me in the doctor’s office.  Something had to be
wrong with me, right?

Everything came back normal from all the blood tests and the full
physical.  My mother has thyroid issues so it had to be the
culprit.  Nope.   My doctor gave me his medical opinion, “You
need to eat less and work out harder.”

Tears came out like a flood.  How could I work out harder…and eat
less?

How could I go to the gym five days a week, participate in the
hardest classes like kickboxing and boot camps, and even hire a
personal trainer…without seeing long-term results?

My weight didn’t budge at 1,300 calories a day.   I tore into
every new diet in fitness magazines.  Nothing happened until…

Here’s the sad truth.  The diet industry WANTS us to stay at least
10 to 30 pounds overweight.  They NEED us buying all the high priced,
diet alternatives they churn out each year.  The money isn’t in
helping you lose the weight.  It’s in holding the carrot in front
of our eyes on the never ending consumer treadmill.

They’ve ignored the real perpetrator of expanding waistlines. 
Even worse, they’ve out-right encouraged its proliferation in the
supermarkets and kitchens across the country.

In fact, a recent study published in the Journal of the American
Medical Association, highlights this fact.  The study, led by Harvard
Medical School Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Cara Ebbeling, and
Professor of Pediatrics, David Ludwig, finds that diets that reduce
the surge in blood sugar after a meal are more effective than a
low-fat diet for successful and sustainable weight loss.

The study looked at three specific diets: a low-fat diet, a
low-glycemic index diet and a low-carbohydrate diet. Not surprisingly,
the low-fat diet, which is traditionally recommended even by the US
Government, slowed metabolism and increased participants hunger.

The results for the low-carb diet were a little better but the
participants experienced increased stress and inflammation, which
makes keeping the weight off nearly impossible.

The most successful group was the low-glycemic diet participants.
THIS GROUP EXPERIENCED STABILIZED BLOOD SUGAR AND METABOLISM, LESS
HUNGER IMPROVED MENTAL AND PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE. THEY ALSO HAD THE
HIGHEST RATES OF LONG-TERM WEIGHT LOSS!

When you cut gluten out of your diet correctly (the way we’ll show
you), it stabilizes your blood sugar levels and allows your body to
become a fat burning machine.

Wheat consumption was linked to weight gain in the largest study ever
conducted knows as the China Study.  It’s a study of 350 variables
of health and nutrition with surveys from 6,500 adults in 65
countries, representing 2,500 counties across rural China and Taiwan.

One of the shocking conclusions:  the more wheat participants
ingested, the greater their body weight increased.
