For a moment I thought maybe he was just having a bad day or maybe I
had just woken him. But inside I knew it was something else, something
more. I chose not to say anything because I felt a little confused and

anyway, so I kept the conversation light and just had a good visit
with them.
We laughed and enjoyed each other's company as old friends do. There
was no mention made of anything being "wrong "with Oscar, and before
you knew it, both the day and night were done. Then off they went in
the morning to continue their adventure.
A few months passed by and Steve called me out of the blue one night
to talk. Then he told me that his two and half year old little boy,
Oscar, had just been diagnosed with something called ASD. This was in
