Combinatorial Analysis and combine it with my programming skills to
analyse the winning patterns and come up with the smallest possible
number of 6-number lines (also known as 'games' in some countries)
that virtually guarantees a 3, 4 or 5 win.
The first thing you need to do is decide how many numbers you want to
cover with your lines. Let's say, you want to cover 9 numbers so that
if the 6 winning numbers are drawn out of these 9, you have a
guaranteed win. Now, to guarantee a jackpot win (all 6 numbers drawn
much at least one of your lines) you would have to play 84 lines,
which is the full combinations of 9 taken 6 at a time.
However, if you are happy with a smaller win, you can cover the 9
numbers with a single line! Let's see:
