IMPORTANT: You will require your own hosted WordPress installation (WordPress.org) to use the AuthorTheme. AuthorTheme will NOT operate on sites hosted at WordPress.com.
Before purchasing please be aware of the following server requirements for AuthorTheme. For the quick version, if you are hosted with HostGator or an equivalent then you’re fine, you have everything you need. Otherwise your server needs to have the following capabilities (most of which are required for full WordPress functionality anyway).
GD – GD image processing must be available to use several theme functions, if your WordPress media library is fully functional then you have it.ZIP – ZIP compression must be available to use the Publishing Wizard, if you can install themes and plugins via the WordPress admin dashboard then you have it.PERMISSIONS – Your server account must have write permissions, this is a slightly complex area but if you don’t have to keep changing folder permissions on your server to 777 in order to make plugins and themes functional then your account has the correct permissions.SOAP – SOAP extension must be available to use the Amazon ASIN features, this is available on most good hosts and is easy to add.
