Who am I and why should you buy
My name is Blake Linklater and I was once like you. When I was growing up playing hockey in the Toronto area, my dad was new to the sport. We were lost in the maze and didn’t know if we were making the right decisions. Looking back, there were a few decisions I would have made different. For instance, one year when I was in Pee Wee I was playing AA and received an offer to go play AAA mid year, I didn’t want to go because I thought I would get another chance next year in minor bantam. I didn’t want to leave my team mid way through the year. I never got that chance at AAA again.
I have been coaching for over 15 years at the AAA level in the Greater Toronto Area in the Alliance, OMHA and GTHL. Over the years I have taught players that moved on to OHL, WHL, and college hockey. In the 2012 OHL draft over 10 kids that I have taught at one point or another were drafted.
I have seen kids make decisions they wish they hadn’t and I have seen kids make decisions that increased their chances of developing and getting scouted. I want to share that information with you. I want to help you make an informed choice leading up to the OHL draft and beyond. I want you to learn from my mistakes and the others that I have taught.

Despite playing just 2 years of AAA and not being drafted into the OHL I managed to achieve my dream of getting a US scholarship (to Canisius College) and play professional hockey (for a short time with the Quad City Mallards of the United Hockey League). Upon being sent home from the Mallards I realized my lifelong passion and dream was to help other players achieve their dreams. I have interviewed scouts across Ontario to tell you what they look for in a player. I have interviewed college coaches to tell you about the recruiting process and help you get out there and promote yourself. Furthermore, I am scout for IHC Hockey management. The same group that through free agent camps helped me land a junior spot in Boston, and 2 semi pro invites.
