Hey, thanks for this guide, it was really helpful. I had been sending
in applications left and right. Then I came across the guide and read
the "Hiring Process" section and was like, whoops! Good thing I only
wasted $10 on postage before I figured that out. Also, any chance the
next addition could include more information about contact letters?

Thanks for your comment Jeff. That's actually one of the things I'm
working on. The 2012 version will include more info on contact letters
and there is also a new addition in the "Time Traps" section that
refers to contact letters. In a nutshell, "don't wait for contact
letters to apply for a job." Once you take an exam and qualify, search
for vacancies and start applying! Reply
